We seek many things in this world to bring us happiness and inner peace. We set goals and work hard to achieve them. But in doing so, we often neglect our inner needs--the desires of our spirit. We struggle with the push-pulls between inner and outer worlds. Quiet time alone renews us and helps restore our life balance. Solitude is not a luxury. We all have a need for solitude--for quiet time alone.

Uncertainty is a predicament of life. The same questions continue to haunt us. How can we live in this uncertain world without fear? How can we approach times of uncertainty with trust? We leave nothing to chance. Chance is the enemy. But fear also eliminates opportunity for growth and ...
We hold on to memories about ways that someone has hurt us or hurt someone we love. Or perhaps we are the one who did the hurting. We struggle to forgive others and ourselves. Forgiveness takes an act of the will that sometimes does not come easily. Nature wisdom can help us see forgiveness as a way of letting go. Holistic healing through forgiveness is both a paradox and a gift.
Today I would like to give you some energy related tips of vaastu for home. Friends, we can’t ignore the importance of positive energy in our life. Houses with less positive energies become store of negative energies. And the inmates of such houses always struggle with problems like- stress, depression, illness, financial problems etc. You see, we don’t like to stay on a place where we feel uncomfortable, where there are negative energies flowing all around.

Your life is a spiritual journey to know your true Self. To live fully, you must discover who-you-really-are. You must get back in touch with your inner power. First, ask yourself these two questions. How strong is your desire? How willing are you to take action? You have enormous power for good in the world. But you must want to discover your true Self and reclaim your inner power. You must have desire and you must take action. Accept that you are more than your physical body.
Life faces us with our vulnerability on a daily basis. We struggle to exert control. Often we resist change and prolong a crisis. Difficult times offer opportunity for growth and renewal, as well as depression and despair. These insights, drawn from science and nature, can help us meet life's challenges and make wise choices. Even when painful, we can create richer, fuller lives. What appears threatening offers opportunity for growth and renewal.
People who know something about Vaastu, which is ancient architectural science, would also know that it's all about placing balance in all the five elements and cosmic energies. If this balance get wobble the problems occur in the one's life. One's life starts with his home. It's a bit difficult to implement all the principles and rules of Vaastu in a house/building already built, although it's possible. But if you are going to construct a new building then it can be proved more accessible and beneficial to take care of Vaastu rules and principles from the start.
Achieving life balance and wealth are two things that most people wish to accomplish early in life. If you are one of these people and you wish to achieve both, there are several simple steps you can take to help you reach that goal. Know Yourself and Listen to Your Ideas In order to achieve both life balance and wealth, you need to first understand how your mind operates and you must learn to trust in your ideas and instincts. Most likely, you have a great idea somewhere in
If your life is lack of love then every moment brings sadness, tastelessness and insipidity to you. Nothing can cause happiness if there is no harmony between you and your life partner. Life becomes painful in such situations. Many people have passed through such experiences. You consider each possible remedy to bring understanding and happiness in your relationship, except one- Vaastu, which we would discuss here, about. Why does relationship deteriorate?
The desire for life meaning resonates deep within each one of us. We want to believe that our lives have purpose. We yearn to make a small difference in the world. But life is messy and unpredictable. Often life seems to fall apart despite our best efforts. We experience a profound loss of meaning and purpose.
We want to enjoy a meaningful life. We want to have a peaceful death. But do we know how? The year before he died, my brother Joe taught me three powerful lessons on living and dying well. Joe was the picture of good health. He was an avid runner. About two weeks after 9/11 he received a diagnosis of late stage lung cancer. A year later he died peacefully at age 54. I remember his last year and these lessons from Joe in every corner of my heart. Lesson One: Express appreciation often during each day.
When we consider the great forces at play in the world, the flutter of a butterfly’s wings doesn’t seem to have much power. Yet a Chinese proverb states that the power of a butterfly’s wings can be felt around the world. Modern science reveals that this proverb may be literally true. The metaphor of butterfly power changes how we view our personal power and influence in the world. It renews our inner power and life purpose. Small influences can have powerful effects in a chaotic system.
One of the most common questions I get asked as a meditation teacher is "why cant I be happy?" Or "how do I find happiness?" Happiness seems to be one of the most elusive experiences for many people, and yet its always there right inside of us. So what is happiness and where is it found, and why is it so elusive for some? Well, there are two sources of happiness. One exte ally and one internally. There's out-come oriented happiness and self-referred happiness. Out-come oriented happiness is a happiness that is derived from "out-comes". It's a sunny day.r
Change is a constant in our lives. For the past 300 years ideas about the world of change have come from Isaac Newton's machine metaphor. For the past 150 years ideas of struggle and competition have come from Charles Darwin's theories about evolution.
The natural world reminds us that relationships are wondrously varied and complex. Through nature's diversity, we observe some cooperation and some competition. But we cannot look for parallels in nature to resolve our life questions. The answers lie deep within us, waiting to be discovered. ...
The Buddha taught that awareness has universal effects. Be aware of the lifestyle you choose. What is good for you is also good for the animals and Earth itself. Be aware of yourself as both physical and spiritual beings. This relationship empowers you. Be aware of the Mind Body Spirit connection. It allows you to create a fuller and more meaningful life on Earth. Reframe your inner talk and use your mind’s power for positive change.
I've made the decision to try life without social media. What that really means is getting off Facebook. While I have accounts on Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn, I rarely visit those sites. But Facebook is different. For some reason, even when I vow not to visit, it draws me in. Calls to me. Compels me to log in and browse my feed. And yet when I do, more often than not I walk away aggravated, not inspired. So why do I keep going back? I'm not sure, but it's definitely time to step back and re-evaluate.
Slow computers can be frustrating. Ideally, we are able to clean them up, speed them up, upgrade, or replace, and carry on with a faster computer, our frustrations only a memory. Sometimes, however, we are temporarily stuck with the slowness and frequent freezings, and we can either continue to feel irritated, or we can accept the way things are with peace and joy. As Carl Jung said, "What you resist persists," so it seems it may be better to stop resisting our computer's lethargy and go with the flow. So, that means we will have to think of something to do while we are waiting.
This week has been an eventful and insightful one. My dad passed away last week, after a long life (85 years) and a relatively short stay in hospital. Now, with Dad at peace, the funeral and celebration of his life over, and my family having returned to their homes far and wide, there’s time for reflection. Death, or even near death, always offers new perspective – on what we can and cannot control in life, on what truly matters… and what is simply irrelevant or insignifican
I have been struggling to achieve balance in all aspects of my life, said the seeker, but I keep getting knocked out of balance, again and again.Have I failed in my quest? We live in a world of dualities, where energy is constantly moving between polarities, trying to achieve optimal balance, moment by moment. There is no permanent balance in our reality,as there is an on-going influx of events approaching us all the time, from within and from without, knocking our balance off. Some
When something ends, no matter whether the ending is your choice or not, take the opportunity to recapitulate it before it fades from memory. There is learning to be done. Why recapitulate? We tend to believe that anything that is recent and vivid in our experience will stay vivid forever, but in fact it is likely that it will fade, often quite quickly. Life will take over, new memories will be created, and our recently developed insights and good intentions can easily be obliterated.
Many readers may be fans of Rhonda Byrne's "The Secret," whether in book or in movie form. However, I have been reading howls of indignation from various columnists who, occasionally over-simplifying, feel that there are dangers and false promises contained in the concept of the Law of Attraction.
Nature is an eloquent teacher. We learn from nature the power of living in the present. Time alone in nature helps us calm a jittery mind and pay attention to the moment. It restores our inner peace. We deepen our experience of the Divine. We feel a sense of expansion beyond the ordinary self. Living in the now empowers us. Learning from the Rhythms of Time in Nature
In current business literature, it is generally accepted that lack of willingness to accept change can be a handicap for people in all areas. Although change simply for the sake of change is not good, resistance to change in favor of the status quo is the reason for many individuals and companies being unable to keep up with the times. Openness to change is therefore seen as being good.
For 300 years we have imagined our world as a machine. Machines break down and wear out. They are replaced by newer models. Perhaps this image is the source for our negative thoughts about aging. We accept the view of a downhill world. We see ourselves as losing productivity and becoming useless. We feel threatened and fearful of change. In a downhill world, change exhausts our valuable energy and brings about decline.

Or perhaps it is already afte oon, and you feel like it is too late to have another cup of coffee, but your energy is dragging. You need an energy boost, but you’re not sure how you can get it. If we think of being alone as being lonely, then fear of loneliness can drive us into the company of people who will not contribute at all to the quality of our lives. It is possible to turn loneliness into comfortable aloneness, so that when we socialize it is by choice, not because we are driven. Which of the following will work for you? 1. Enjoy the person you are. If you don't like yourself, then figure out why and start work on becoming a person you do enjoy. You can do it, and you'll be too busy to be lonely.
We are rushed, we are pressured, and we don't have time for the fine detail. Instead, too often we mentally leap to the bottom line, and in that leap we often fly past a few things that could lead us to more accurate understanding. We may read that a dietary product provides "Up to 4 hours hunger control," but how many of us remember that "up to four hours" includes one, two and three hours as well as four? Sometimes we even teach others on the basis of our wrong conclusion.
In the overall span of time, we are a brief evolutionary experiment. Along the way we came to believe that we are different from other creatures. We came to see ourselves at the pinnacle of creation. But scientists have found otherwise. We are not so different after all. And it seems Nature is wiser than all of us. Since ancient times we have been curious about how the world works.
I am going to broadcast the seed and let the wind carry it where it will. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
Is it possible to respond flexibly to changing circumstances and yet to remain authentically ourselves…or is it?
You are an energetic being living in an energetic Universe. You have the Source Energy that creates worlds flowing through you. It is your responsibility to be vigilant and guard your energy. It is especially important to use your sacred energy wisely. As you cleanse and raise your energy, you release negative emotions. You feel the power of your Source Energy, Breath of Life, pulsing within you. You align with your true Self and your inner power. Cleanse and raise your energy with your good-feeling thoughts.
Most people probably don’t talk to animals! Or do they? I guess one turning point from reality is when the animals start talking to the people. Wasn’t that something taken away by Spirit a long time ago because of mans lack of respect for the animals? Most Spirit teachings say that. Maybe it is something to be gifted back at some point. I don’t know!
It is almost a cliché to talk about being in transition, particularly when one is a coach. Coaching people "in transition" is something that almost every new coach will mention as a prospective niche, and quite rightly, since transition is a time when it is particularly important to have an objective and encouraging sounding board as one casts off from one aspect of life and seeks to enter a safe port in another aspect of that life.
I’ve lost many things in my life. Jobs. Grandparents. Pets. Money. A house. A business. Even my identity at one point. I’ve watched my parents lose their parents, my husband lose his father, my daughter lose teenage friends. I’ve seen that in the moment these losses feel insurmountable. Yet, I’ve also seen time heal the pain. I’ve seen people move on and find happiness again. And, I’ve done so myself.

In the 1970's, Richard Easterlin, who was an economist at the University of Pennsylvania at the time, published what has become one of the best known studies on the connection between money and happiness. Dubbed The Easterlin Paradox the study determined that economic growth in countries doesn't necessarily lead to greater satisfaction among the people living there. Here's what was written in a New York Times article about The Easterlin Paradox:
News reports paint the picture of a world filled with violence and hatred. Science shows that we are connected to one another and all creation. Reality TV says: Look out for number one! Sacred traditions teach that love is the way of life. Wisdom from nature and the Law of Attraction can help you resolve the push-pulls between world and spirit. Through them you can discover ways to grow in love for yourself and others. The Law of Attraction says that giving and receiving are one.
"What I want most is for you not to be angry at me all the time." Those words were spoken by the husband of a client when she asked him what he wanted most from their apparently deteriorating relationship.
The dictionary defines "independent" as: • not influenced or controlled by others in matters of opinion, conduct, etc.; thinking or acting for oneself: an independent thinker. • not subject to another's authority or jurisdiction; autonomous; free: an independent businessman. • not dependent; not depending or contingent upon something else for existence, operation, etc. • not relying on another or others for aid or support. As I consider this definition, I realize we are not truly independent.
Ethics can define who you are. Before falling asleep, you will have to find a way to tell yourself that you are a good person. But there are some moral failures that are so harmful that it becomes very difficult to maintain your self-esteem. Betraying Someone You Love âLoveâ is defined by social psychologist Robert Sternberg as the intersection between commitment, intimacy, and passion. When any one of those three elements is missing, the relationship can become unbalance
A basic principle of life is change and growth. Science tells us: Nothing stays the same. The flower bud changes and blooms into its own colorful expression. Like the bud, our own creative expression needs time for inner growth. We change and grow from the inside out. Inner growth leads us to take different actions with different results. We are evolving a new self with each choice. From science and nature we gain a new way of seeing ourselves and our world. We are Light Beings living in a vibrational Universe.
People ask me how I know when an animal is one of my helpers. Golden Eagle is one of my helpers! My answer is simple. When one becomes aware of these things then an animal will show itself in a way that you will know. Believe me, you will know! My Native brother, Nish, and I were traveling through Wisconsin one time a few years back. We had just come from Hannahville Reservation where we visited my teacher and Nish’s dad. Nish got a call from his sister, Neveena. Never a dull moment on the Rez!
Desires flow from deep within. They come from your True Self. The cost of ignoring them is high. The time may not be right. But you can nurture your desires. You can gradually move toward them. In doing so, you release your Inner Genius. Pay attention to your strong emotions and desires.
Everyone can understand the significance of a kitchen. After all, a house without a kitchen cannot be considered complete. An Indian housewife spends most of her time in the kitchen - her day starts in the kitchen and ends in the kitchen - and the entire family gets their basic life energy from food that is prepared in the kitchen. One can even say that the kitchen is the backbone of the house.
Unless you're a hermit or an ostrich, you have noticed how mean, thoughtless, and rude today's kids are. Of course, I'm speaking in generalities. Yes, we can compare them to us "perfect" kids of yesteryear, who routinely addressed adults as "ma'am" and "sir," and who behaved in many other ways contrary to the surly attitudes that prevail among today's youth. Such comparisons, however, serve no purpose. Before a solution can ever be proffered to reverse the degradation into w
“True happiness” ….as opposed to false happiness? Why should we care when both states feel so good? How do we know the difference? Is “true” harder to come by than “false?”One thing is for certain –we all want it. Happiness –contentment- is perhaps even an instinctual drive within this human species. It’s what makes life worth the trouble.
Courage is a requirement in today's world. It's a synergy that begins in the soul to reach out into life, and change it. It's a flow we must nurture with our thoughts, and our words, and our actions. The Poetry of Courage speaks to the soul's need for encouragement and hope.
