Anger is a normal emotion like any other emotion. Human beings are hard wired to experience anger as a means to preserve ourselves. Instinctively anger inspires one to fight, to defend or to take cover as it alerts one to a perceived threat. Listening is usually identified as a positive personality trait. It can be seen as a virtue and a sign of generosity and wisdom, which may place listeners at high regard in front of other people. Therefore, many individuals may not hesitate to say they are good listeners, but may do so when confessing they are good talkers.

We can do anything and everything just to impress others, can’t we? Showing off the expensive things we’re using or even the successful career we have could be the best way to leave a mark…or maybe not. Honestly, there isn’t anything wrong with wanting to be impressive, but it’s always how we do it that makes us desirable or not. Thus, it’s important that you be very careful in choosing the means by which you’re going to impress people around you. If you want to impress others in a dignified way, here’s what you should and should not do:
If I told you to go out and try something new and mess it up, could you? When I first heard that suggestion, I cringed. I grew up as a perfectionist, and messing something up did not fit into my view of the world. When we want to make changes in our lives, we need to try new things. Trying new things means that we might mess it up as we figure it out. Going into business for myself, I have been slowly learning how to do something and mess it up. I will be honest with you: some days it's hard to stomach.
If you are running your own business and are wondering if you are doing well at it, you should go figure out if you were born to be an entrepreneur or not. If it turns out that you don’t have what it takes to be a successful businessman, there’s no reason to feel miserable. It wouldn't even mean that you don’t have the potential to succeed in owning a business. You can easily think of it as a sign that you should instead let your talents be used by a good employer.

To help you keep or enhance your momentum towards this year goals without shifting into overwhelm, here are 3 things that you can easily do to avoid mental congestion. 1. Many of us are talented, driven, highly functional, and just very good at what they do. Yet, it is still not uncommon for some of these people to decide to move away from their jobs despite really enjoying many aspects of their careers. I am sure that you know breathing is necessary in order to sustain life, but do you know how to breathe in order to sustain a healthier life? Many of us take shallow breaths that begin and end in our chest. When stressed, the breathing becomes even more shallow and at times we even "forget to breathe" and find ourselves holding our breath. This speeds the heart rate and causes us to cheat our body of much needed oxygen, which in turn negatively effects our entire body. Just as breathing is necessary to live, breathing properly is necessary to live well.
The other day, while standing in a very long line at my local coffee shop, I struck up a conversation with the woman behind me. We began chatting about everyday topics-the weather, the holiday rush, and then we stumbled on that dreaded topic of the moment-the economy. I asked her a question: "What do you think would be the most important thing you could have in your life right now to support where you are, given the economy?" She was a little surprised by this question, but her reply was very telling.

I was stuck in a place I had been stuck in many times before and I couldn’t see a way through it this time. I was holding on to the end of the rope and wondering if it would be easier to just let go.
As the economy begins to recover, slowly, but surely hiring rates are picking-up, and companies are beginning to develop new tactics to attract potential employees. Many companies have taken a cue from modern and colorful workplaces, such as Google and Pixar, in order to utilize the work space itself as recruiter. While few companies have the resources to match the Googleplex, which houses giant rubber balls to bounce on, a life size dinosaur skeleton, beach volleyball courts

Are you an information addict? A news junkie? A Facebook frequenter, a Twitterer or devotee of other social media? A slave to your PDA or fancy phone? Though the holiday season is thought to be a joyous time by all, many find the time betwee Thanksgiving and Christmas to be stressful and emotional. As a helping professional, I have observed the approaching holiday season as both a joyous time, as well as a time filled with heartache and family conflict. The holidays often surface emotions from the past with greater intensity. Unresolved conflict, hurt, and past regrets are heightened with the approaching end of the New Year.
