Reaching your goals in a timely manner is most likely important to you. You want to achieve something and you want it to appear in your life by a certain time. (Usually that time is right now! or at least pretty soon!) Unfortunately, unless you follow this one critical element of goal setting, you are setting yourself up to continue struggling.
Do you feel like your life has been more stressful? Your dreams and goals unfulfilled? Sometimes it takes a gentle nudge in the right direction and other times a serious shove is required. At times life is not easy, and some scholars will tell you it is not meant to be; it is through the difficult struggles, the hardships, the failures and setbacks that we as individuals grow and evolve. The problem is getting back up again becomes increasingly more difficult, unless you have the proper help and support.
What do you see when people dance? Is it how their hands and feet move so gracefully in such unison with one another, yet each of them sparkles individuality? Are the dancers smiling? What does that mean? They may be joyous when they move their bodies to the rhythms of the music, but that is not all. They smile because they are dancing with their hearts. nnWhat do I mean when I say they dance with their hearts? When you are dancing with your heart, you are dancing together wi
"Enough" is an often-used word in our language. It reflects adequacy -- from insufficiency to exaggeration -- of the subject that is the focus of attention, including people, places, things, and ideas. It can describe quantity or quality, depending on the subject or object. The relationship to ...
Normal people are out of control. This is not an observation, a theory or an opinion. This is a statement of scientific fact. Decades of research, all the way back to 1936, prove conclusively that the normal person is not in control of themselves, rather they are controlled by their subconscious mind. And, because all this happens automatically, there is, in fact, no real control at all being exerted in the ordinary behaviour of everyday life. Reflect on this for a few moments.
Some people believe in shortcuts. For them, a shortcut is a way to save time and avoid hard work. Not only that, they also believe that the results they get through shortcuts are as good as perfect. Do you also believe the same? While it may appear to you that you are saving time by taking a shortcut, but in reality, it wastes more time and create more problems than it solves. Shortcuts Have Never Created Anything Worthwhile
As human beings we all need to let go sometimes in order to experience a happy life. Keeping emotions locked up within ourselves is not healthy for us or for those close to us. This is why emotional release is a necessary thing. The problem is that many people have no idea how to perform this “emotional dump” and therefore keep it locked inside them until they simply explode. (Figuratively of course.)
Fireworks – What an amazing song by Katy Perry. She reminds me of my inner strength and how we just need to ignite and shine and how amazing it is to know we have all that we need to succeed already within us. Like a firecracker has everything inside and when ignited explodes with bang of color leaving everybody watching in awe.
When you hear the word salesman…if you are like me you get a visceral response. Not always positive. What notions, fears and images come to mind when you see or encounter a sales man? Images of Willy Loman or Leisure Suit Larry the hustling used car salesman? Or do you bring up images of “Sales Guru’s” like Zig Ziglar, Tom Hopkins et al? Or if you are really tuned in, the real masters of the Sales universe: Steve Jobs, The current President or even…The Pope. If you are in business, any type of business, you are in sales. However, only a small % of
Are you stuck in a rut in your life? I once heard a rut defined as a grave with no end. When we experience being in a rut it’s generally because we believe it’s safe there. We feel the risk of loss is less if we just stay where we are. Something outside that rut seems risky, and so we settle in. At least we think we know where we’re at. But if a rut is a grave with no end then surely we don’t realize we’re living life in a grave.
Subliminal messaging can be defined as conveying information in such a way that the conscious mind is unaware of the message but the subconscious mind is able to register the information. The information is passed passively making the conscious mind unaware of what is happening. Subliminal messaging can cause you to execute what is being relayed to your subconscious mind. The information could be presented as images, sound or texts. The idea that the subconscious mind can be
There’s an old saying that goes, “If you don’t know where you’re going, any path will take you there.” The same is true of personal development. Everyone who starts down the path of personal development wants to grow – to evolve into something more than when ...
The other day I heard a Reiki Master say that in his opinio Reiki was old fashioned and outdated...interesting. I had to ponder this awhile. How can Reiki - Universal Life Force energy be old fashioned and outdated? I realize I can be a pretty literal person so I tried to comprehend how else this may have been intended. Reiki as energy cannot be outdated. It is after all universal life force energy, it is a constantly co-created emanation of energy grounded in all life systems of our universe.

There are many types of work that may take from a few minutes to a few hours, but valuable work needs time. Time needs to be booked without interruption for long periods. THE LIFE FORCE CALLED SPIRITnby Natalia Alexandria Every day, I encounter people who define spirit and spirituality in a variety of different ways. Some think it is religion, while others think it is New Age. Some are embarrassed to admit to either, while others think it is all nonsense. ...

Power is not Control…But I never said control isn’t important! The second chapter in Dynamic Components of Personal POWER is titled “Top 5 Lies About Power.” In that chapter I talk about the lies we’ve been told by people who either attempted to keep power and control for themselves, or those ...
How to Get Out of Your Own Way You've been attracted to the idea of jou aling, recently. Maybe you attended a workshop that talked about it, or perhaps a friend divulged to you her regular writing habit. The practice of jou aling makes sense to you, in theory. You like the idea of expressing your thoughts through the jou aling process. Such inner healing has to be healthy, right? You even have a nicely bound blank notebook all ready to go. But for some reason, though it's
Any way you look at it, most people are failures. You know, there's the 80/20 rule, which some people correctly say is really the 90/10, or really 95/5. All this is true. I definitely agree with you. Most people are failures—like if you believe the oft-touted Social Security System study. I don't know if it's true or not, but I know it's been circulated widely. It says that 95% of Americans reaching age 65—that's that mythical retirement age—are unprepared for retirement.
Meditation is a great way to eliminate stress, reduce anxiety and create more peace in your life. It helps you connect to your inner being, and to a much higher source of power. Though some may view the practice as ‘new age’, it’s actually pretty old school. It’s been used by some of the most brilliant minds in history, including Albert Einstein and Thomas Edison, and has been scientifically proven to lower your risk of heart disease and stroke by up to 15%. It’s also pretty easy to master once you get a little practice under your belt.
We all know people who have masses of academic qualifications yet somehow just don’t get it right in the world of work. They are not easy people to be with and tend to misread situations. They say the wrong thing, upset people (often completely unintentionally) and therefore don’t always get as ...
Dreamers and Doersr April, 13, 2015 Recently, it has been pointed out to me that there are “Dreamers” and there are “Doers”. I think this implies that people who dream don’t achieve results. It implies that being a “Doers” is the more valid choice of the two. I think this whole premise is over simplified. I don’t think either is the best choice. I believe that the perfect path to achievement is the middle path. A combination of the two. I have come to know in my experience, that there are three elements to significant “achievement”. You must have a vision or a goal “Dream”.r
Teaching our children to read books is not a difficult task. However, inspiring them the love for reading through their life time, is another story. When babies, we mothers love to read them books. We teach them about the alphabet, colors, numbers, shapes, animals, and the list goes on and on. But soon enough, once they start to grow up (which happens very fast) they loose interest and put the books aside. Tv, video games, and other things get's in the way, and reading is not
Your eyes are a great indicator that can help in predicting violent behavior. The eyes can determine when someone is under too much stress, and prone to violence. That's right, all You Have To Do Is Look! The more stress a person is under, the more it will show in the eyes. The more white there is around the iris, the more dangerous that person can become. This is true for most people. Stress affects the mind and optic nerves behind the eyes. This pulls the muscles up, moving the irises up into the eye sockets. White space it revealed under the irises. The
Your Most Valuable Asset…Don’t look on your balance sheet! Your most valuable asset doesn’t show up on your balance sheet. Your most valuable asset is your ability or capacity to perform effectively, in a word: POWER! Your equipment, computers, business machines, buildings ...
I am a firm believe that there is no greater self-help or self-exploration tool than a journal. That’s right—a simple blank book and a pen can help you manifest millions of dollars. It can help you identify goals. It can ease emotional pain or grief. It can transport you back in time. The ...
Ten Tips From a Professional Trainer Some friends and colleagues, notably women, have left the locker room behind for yoga and Pilates studios, but I‘m sticking and staying with my regular workout at the gym. Not every day, but three times a week – early morning, at lunch, or in a pinch after work – I visit the gym.
An interesting question popped into my mind a couple of days ago while I was driving behind a flatbed truck carrying a brand new Jaguar X-Type. I thought; as it rests now, is that really a car? Until someone sits in the driver’s seat, turns on the ignition, puts it in gear and actually drives it, is it a “car” or just an assembly of metal, plastic, glass, rubber, and electronics? Think about this. No, really. What good is the soft craftsmen-stitched leather until someone actually sinks into the seat?
Bad habits. Do you think you have one? Or do others complain of you having some? Most people try to eliminate bad habits by using their willpower. However, to be free of bad habits, cravings, and addictions permanently, you need more. You need God’s help. Unfortunately, the majority of people in this world are not yielded to God and His ways. In this world, one’s appetite is the ruling force. This can take on a variety of forms. An intense appetite for sex becomes lust. An i
You’re really frustrated. Angry. There is so much happening in your life and you have so many emotions floating around you can’t think straight. You’re tired. You’re moody. Ok, even irritable. Friends are complaining. Your spouse is complaining. Your kids hide when they see you. So you withdraw and say very little. Then colleagues ask, “What’s wrong?” You just want everyone to leave you alone! The thing is you have so much emotional energy you really don’t know what’s wrong! You don’t know what you feel! But you do know that soon, you just might explode! Why does this happen?

When ever we think that there is something difficult to learn or master in life, we believe that there must be some “secret” attached to the outcome. We often say to ourselves, “what do I need to know, that I don’t or what do I need to do, that I haven’t.” What if I told you that there was no real secret to success, rather what you refuse to believe about your ability to achieve it. The above state of mind automatically transfers the possibility of success to outside influences i.e. there is something out there that I must control or command.
A good or influential public speaker not just speaks but he performs on stage. The aim of public speaking is to leave your audience charmed by your perform ace, whether this is on a big dais in front of hundreds or thousands of people, in a small room or anywhere. Preparation is the key to which every public speaker swears on. Once youâve learned how to prepare you notes, conquered your fear of speaking in front of people and brushed up your presentation and communication s
If you’re wondering when you’ll get around to those all important goals that you seem to never have any time for, I have great news! As a certified life coach I can help you do this now, rather than later, or as later usually becomes -never. In my coaching sessions, I empower my clients to choose the right goals, set flexible dates for their achievement, identify the obstacles in their way and work with them to assign action steps on overcoming those obstacles. "Introduction to Screenwriting" Week Four Hi, there, and Welcome back! You've probably noticed by now that this is pretty high-level material. In fact, you could probably take the information in any one week and stretch it out into an ordinary 10-week class. Hell with it. I'm making the assumption that some of you out there are red-hot, and ready to trot. The others? Well, it's a computer class, after all. Just print everything out, and go over it and over it and over it.
When it comes to air travel, anything more than a carry-on is counter productive. It’s not just the lost-luggage-factor that has most women wheeling, not carrying, a single bag onboard. The hassle, the time lost, and often our travel partners, with little or no patience for hanging around carousels, have conditioned even the most passionate clothes horse to cut back and pack light.
In life and business we all need to know an experimenter if we aren't one ourselves. These are the folks that push the limits, break rules, challenge barriers. These individuals don't see a wall as a wall but instead look at ways to scale it, go around it, go through it, or dig under it. Inventors are most often great experimenters but it isn't limited to inventors. Anyone with a renegade streak is a great experimenter and that means entrepreneurs. Goldilocks was one!
Early in my life I was taught to take what you do best and do your best with it. I believe in setting the bar high and doing all you can to reach it. We may even have to try many things before we find the thing that we do best. Presumably somewhere along the line though we will discover something that calls us to excel at it, something we feel passionate about, and foremost, something that fills our heart with purpose. Unfortunately passion, excellence and purpose are not easily experienced although the possibilities exist everywhere.
When it comes to your appearance, you must give careful attention to your dress, grooming and accessories. Potential clients or employers will judge your quality of work by your physical appearance. What does your image say about you? Consider these important facts: 67% of first impressions are accurate. People judge you firstly by what you wear, then by how you speak, and then by the words you say. In six seconds you have made a lasting impression, and 55% of that impression is made up of non-verbal communication.
Life is like a road. There are long and short roads; smooth and bumpy roads; crooked and straight roads. There will be roads that lead to fame and fortune on one hand, or isolation and poverty on the other. There are as many roads to happiness as there are roads to sadness.
If you’re worried about making a good impression, you can be damn sure that you’re not! You see, the normal mind is split – part of you is there with whoever you’re trying to impress, part of you is thinking that you’re not as impressive as you would like to be and part of you is evaluating whether or not you’re living down to your expectations. And that’s on a good day! That assumes that you’re wide awake enough to even realize that it might be a good idea to make a good impression!
On many of my workshops, I quote a piece of well known research into the effectiveness and impact of communication. The effect on those with whom we communicate is dictated by body language, tone of voice and our words. Body language accounts for an enormous 56% of the overall effect, tone of voice accounts for another 36% and the actual words we use only account for 8%. I also discuss acclaimed communicators, like Jack Kennedy, Bill Clinton, Barak Obama and, unfortunately, Adolf Hitler.
In all parts of your life, you must make decisions. Little decisions, big decisions, monumental decisions. Some decisions are so natural that you may not even consider them decisions. Decisions focus your attention. Each decisions is a choice. Decisions about Basic Needs You make conscious ...
Interesting title huh? I bet you cannot wait for me to talk about his topic, as I believe it affects many of us. Actually, I know it does from my years of coaching and helping people take off this painful suit so they start feeling love again.
