Inspiration of the Day “The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.” - Walt Disney, 1901-1966, American Film Producer/Director/Animator _____ We have all experienced the blowing winds of disappointment, despair, and heartbreak. Why, then, would each of us, in our own individual ship of life, all beginning at the same point, with the same intended destination in mind, arrive at such different places at the end of the journey? Have we not all been blown by the winds of circumstances and buffeted by the turbulent storms of discontent?

We live where others holiday (it was recently suggested to me that I’m simply say this to annoy people – but it’s relevant to what follows!) – on skis in winter, with bikes and boots in summer. And the only people who are stressed or fighting around here… are the holidaymakers!
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, you’re probably not thinking about “relationship advice”, but more about love, romance, and what you are going to do to celebrate. Valentine’s Day is a day that many couples celebrate their love, which is wonderful, but there are also many couples who don’t celebrate this day because there is very little love shared in the relationship. They may say they love each other, but actions speak much louder than words.
How many times have you laughed today? If research is anything to go by, the answer will be, not as much as you should have done. We're told that people are so overwhelmed by the gloom they read and hear on the TV and newspapers that we're forgetting to laugh. I say "forgetting" because, as kids, we were masters at laughing.
There are two most common elements that hinder us in reaching our goals. These two come together and block our roads to the life that we want. When we learn to overcome them, there’s no way that we will not land to the path that we wanted to travel. Worry and Fear come together and are our greatest enemies in times of difficulty. We have all the time in the world planning and doing the things that we wanted to do, we have all the energy to make things happen the way we wante

2009 went fast didn't it? How did you do? Each year millions of people have a reaction to the transition of one year to the next. Some people are happy with their results. Others want something to change. Some people exceeded their goals and are excited for their next results. Others are struggling to make ends meet, find love, drop those extra pounds. Some will be glad the year is over. Some will end the year with regrets. 2010 is being pronounced by many as Twenty-Ten, and is recognized at the beginning of a new decade.
There are certain elements that people tend to forget about in their ability to hold to their mind that which they want. The two elements are desire and expectations. You will never expect that which you don’t desire and you will never desire that which you don’t expect. To realize and ...

A Ticket To La La Land For decades I thought I knew what reality was, and in a way I did. Imagine my surprise when, years later after going on a long journey of developing my awareness, I discovered that I was not only clueless but a long time resident of La La Land and didn't even know who had been living there all those years. I thought it was me, but was it?

The Dysfunctional Landscape It should be stated from the start that the obstacles mentioned in this article are those of a severe nature. I share the strategies and techniques for dealing with them because they are the same for minor dysfunctionality as they are for major train wrecks, the difference is only in dagrees and depth. Also, one of the most common questions people ask conce ing self change is "how can things that happened to us so long ago still affect us now?" and the second most common question is "how do you know if something is wrong in the first place?".

Before you can begin practicing meditation you do need to understand what it is and why you need to use this method of relaxation. The brain is the primary tool that you’ll use to define this process. But, you may not realize that when the brain is in a “normal” state that it actually is very abnormal in what it is doing. To help you to understand meditation, we must first break down the different stages in which the brain functions so that you can see the state of mind that you are functioning in most often. The Stages of the Mind
Diesel was my grandparents’ dog. I fondly remember this scruffy looking yet lovable mongrel while I was growing up. His passion was chasing cars. Everyone would know a car was coming long before we could hear or see it, because Diesel would sound the alarm and chase after each and every oncoming car every chance he had. Without ever giving up hope, he would attempt to catch the car as if his life depended on it.
The World Health Organisation believes that stress will be the biggest killer of the 21st century. UK Government statistics indicate that over 15 million workdays were lost in 2008 due to stress. In the US, the National Institute for Occupational Safety predicts that depression will be the leading occupational disease of the 21st century. The same organisation regularly publishes reports on the affects of stress on heart disease, accidental injury in the workplace, etc., etc.
Isn’t that a very good question for businesspeople to ask themselves? In our efforts to promote our website, we use a lot of different advertising methods to get our message out there. Like classified ads (online & offline), ezine ads, banner ads, safelist ads, solo ads, website ads, feed ads, social-business networks bulletins, blogging, postings in forums and groups, press releases, pay-per-click, and more. Whenever we post ads anywhere using one of the methods just listed, we always take the time to check out the other ads, some of which are from our competition.
"Failure's hard, but success is far more dangerous. If you're successful at the wrong thing, the mix of praise and money and opportunity can lock you in forever." - Po Bronson Which do you fear more - success or failure? This question is much more complicated than it seems on the surface. As per the quote above, there are many, many layers... The first question is, "What does success look like for you?" If you answered - a big house, cool car, no debt - that's not quite what I'm referring to.
BAND-AID, ANYONE?nby Natalia Alexandria I’m surprised band-aids aren’t served at cocktail parties. As a life coach and student in the classroom of humanity, I don’t think a week goes by without my hearing about another miracle cure, or quick fix for what ails us. I look ...
Before I go into this article I would like to make something very clear: NO ONE ALLOWS FEAR TO BLOCK THEIR LIFE! Now some of you maybe balking at that statement, but think about it, if you knew you had fear or if you are feeling fearful, would you really consciously or subconsciously and knowingly allow fear to block your life? No you wouldn't. You would want to do everything in your power to get rid of your fears. Fear is a feeling that comes up in response to all the things we were told as a child.
You may have already my article "Strategies for Effortless Business Success" - with the emphasis on the word effortless. In this follow up article, I want to explore what I mean by success - because most "normal" people really haven't got the first clue what the word actually means in the context of their everyday lives.
This question drives people bonkers much of the time. Along with that question comes these: What was I created to do? What am I really passionate about? Do I even have a purpose? Why am I so miserable? What the hell am I doing? I have certainly wrestled with this question various times and came up empty plenty of times. Finally I realized that there is no right or wrong answer and I also discovered that my purpose is simple. Be me.
In regards to success and your MLM, Network Marketing or Direct Sales business, we want you to imagine the following: you are currently on the shore of a large lake (say one-mile wide) and success as you’ve imagined it when you joined your company (whatever level of achievement ‘success’ means to you) is on the other shore. Here’s a good question for you: how will you get there?
I was awakened from a peaceful sleep at 1am to hear my son’s voice saying, “My plane almost crashed. We had an emergency landing and had to brace for impact.” I did not hear anything else after that but began to breathe slowly and purposefully. I knew to breathe through the fear so I could function and hear what he was saying. He is safe and has a hundred thousand angels by his side. We all have these angels, and through our breath, we can experience them in so many ways. Conscious breathing techniques have been around for centuries.
Here are a few “Do’s and Don’ts” to follow as you learn to craft and master your own individual customer-centric brand image: 1. DO: Take the time you really need to thoroughly define your desired personal brand. If you don’t know what you want to stand for, it’s 100% guaranteed your customers don’t either. 2. DON’T: Assume your image is doing “just fine.” You’ll never know how your own brand is really doing until you take proactive action to find out.
The thought of having personal charisma and personal magnetism is often based on having an attracting energy that flows through your body and mind. While that is certainly true, there are other aspects to it.nnMany people think you are either born with it or you are not. It is not a matter of you either have it or you don't. We can all start at the beginning and develop it, if it is not one of our strong traits. Having a strong presence is about how you are perceived by other
You have the power within you to determine just what sort of day you have EVERY day. There are many, many websites dedicated to proving this to you. There are many, many courses for which you must pay a fee which will also tell you the same thing. There are also many, many free courses which ...
The questio I am asked the most about the law of attraction is how to stay focused on your big dream in spite of all the distractions that life throws your way. People want specific strategies to keep you focused for success. I have found the following 7 tips to be extremely powerful in helping me stay focused. You will too. 1. Have a Big WHY. This is important. Unless you have a strong reason reason 'why' you want to manifest something, you will never be using all your energy and putting all your attention on what needs to be done.
May I ask you a question? Well, actually, I’m going to ask you eight powerful, life-changing questions. These questions are designed to make you take an honest look within yourself and the life you have created for yourself thus far. Questions are very important. They require you to get silent within, to
Read the title of this article carefully – it doesn’t say “all the money you want” – just what you need. The defining line between needs and wants is a little more blurred than you might think because, when I use the word “need” it is used in the context of having everything that you need to live your idea of a perfect life. But this concept, in itself, is also open to misinterpretation because of normal definitions of success – which are generally competitive and comparative.
What would you do differently in your life if you were ngiven the chance? What would you change now if you nwere able to wave a magic wand and start from scratch? No ties, no burdens, no limits, no memories, and no past. What would that life look like? If the answer that comes nto your mind ...
Dear Friend, … We are generally conditioned through our life experiences that we must deserve love, not only from others, but also from ourselves. This influence comes from our very early childhood. We can all remember the situations in our childhood, when we as little children were punished and our parents acted in a way, that made us feel unloved. These first impressions on our mind will have had an incredible influence, which many people are unable to shake off for the rest of their lives.
Most experts agree that the expression of a goal or objective in clear, concise terms enhances the potential to achieve it. In goal setting the acronym SMART is perhaps the most well used process for structuring goals. It represents Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time related. The principle behind its use is that our conscious and particularly subconscious minds respond best to precise targets and instructions.
A couple of months back, the New York Times ran a series of articles with the above title – all about the manner in which road accidents are almost invariably the result of a loss of focus or, in plain English, not paying attention. Again, I notice that Loughborough University in the UK has recently published research that indicates the extent to which we are distracted from what we are supposed to be doing by the modern phenomena of texts and emails. The research indicates that the vast majority of emails are replied to immediately – often within six seconds.
Pets are precious parts of our family and have their own distinct personalities. This is a Memorium ro our beloved Cat Taz (who is he was and his personality. As a person would be a "Maritan personality " www.personalitypredictors.com/Martian. Intrepid, feisty and mischievous.) A Maine Coon cat ith a big time attitude. October 23 1996 - July 22 2012 Taz (short for Tasmanian Devil) The name seemed appropriate and matched his personality. In loving memory of our Taz who we loved so much. Taz will be greatly missed and be in our hearts forever.
How Today's Entrepreneurs Use Continuous Innovation to Create Radically Successful Businesses If you've not yet heard of Eric Ries, it may be because it wasn't that long ago he was just another Silicon Valley software engineer with a list of failed to modestly-successfully start-ups on his resume. Today Eric is at the forefront of a global movement that is often boiled down to the mantra “Build, Measure, Learn.”
This is all in your hands to make your personality development a high standard in your life. We tend to consider our personal growth as something someone else is responsible for. Oh no, it is far from truth. I know you were raised by your parents. It is true. I also know you were grown up by your teachers. The same with me. And everyone else in your surroundings. But what's past is past. Now it it the time to move on with your personality development. And you have to realize
As cliche as it sounds, you can’t be afraid to take risks when it comes to learning new things. If you wait until you “know how to do something” before you apply for a specific job or take on a new task, you are going to find out that you will never be ready to take the leap. Never. You can’t be afraid to fall flat on your face. You need to rekindle the “amateur mindset” that you had sometime not so long ago.
I have enjoyed working in the talent industry booking models, actors and extras for over 27 years. I have usually worked in market sizes fewer tha 2 million people. I have also worked with many other agents across the U.S. that also work in these size markets and have discovered some interesting facts that I would like to relay to parents of young talent. First off, yes there is plenty of legitimate work available for anyone from babies, kids, teens, young adults, adults an
Year after year our company runs an associate survey. Year after year the same items score low: relationship between compensation and productivity, retention of the best associates and associate motivation via reward programs. If your company (whether large or small) is struggling with similar ...
Emotional Freedom Techniques are a self-healing energy therapy for releasing your limiting beliefs. Simple, safe and painless and often with instant results. I first heard about EFT through Bob Doyle's Wealth Beyond Reason program. And if you saw the movie The Secret but have been frustrated about not seeing any results then the Emotional Freedom Techniques will be an incredible discovery for you too.
It’s that time of year again: crisp, bright mornings; fall foliage in a stunning palette of gold, red, and orange; the freshest picks of the fall harvest. Autumn has so much to offer – yet here in Toronto, I already felt the first pangs of longing for the recent summer when the weather turned bitter, wet and windy last week. Navigating through that harsh weather is certainly an adjustment – not to mention, a major hazard to your business attire if you have to confront rainy city streets on your way to work or a meeting!

Wouldn't you like to work in a workplace that appreciated you and your contributions? This is something that we all want, and more and more employees are becoming increasingly vocal about their desire to feel appreciated. March is Employee Spirit Month, which is geared towards getting management, whether its CEOs, managers or other executives, to get their employees inspired and motivated. The idea is that through emphasizing this type of involvement, Employee Spirit Month wi
Stress kills. It robs people of their health and well being and costs governments and corporations billions in health care costs. It is a contributory factor in high blood pressure, diabetes and suppression of the immune system. The cost of mental health problems, where stress is a factor, costs the Canadian economy $35 billion a year. The U.S. economy loses an estimated $300 billion annually as a result of work related stress.
Simple question – how many good ideas have you had that you simply never bothered to do anything about? And, have you ever noticed that some of the most successful people are where they are as a result of some really simple idea – the kind of idea that you say to yourself “I could have thought of that!”? Well, we all have great ideas at least once in a while, we’re all struck by ‘inspiration’ from time to time – it’s just that normal people laugh these ideas off as a flight of fancy.
Are You Feeling Crazy or Connected?
Think of entrepreneurship like any other pursuit in life. If you want to succeed, you need to believe in what you're doing. Feeling passionate about your business, product, and industry will help you find motivation when the going gets tough. So the big question becomes "How do you transform your personal passions into profitable business opportunities?" If answering that question were easy, the entire world would be self-employed. In reality, it can be a frustrating thing to think about. You might feel like you'll never find the answer.
“Why is change so hard?” It may be the most common questio I answer for clients. Change in general is easy – change is always happening. You may chip a tooth, get a bit of a tan working in the yard, or get haircut. Change is a constant. But directed change can be tough and ...
