Fear is an interesting obstacle in any personâs life. Many of us never write down our goals, we fear if anyone else sees them they may disprove or even make fun. By never writing down our goals we postpone ever accomplishing them. Because of fear we limit our ability to succeed. For those of you in a sales type industry you should be able to identify with this next example. Many sales people get into work and spend the first part of the day looking through emails, shuffling
"The mind is always looking to get caught up in something. Awareness is always free. It is simply a matter of where you place your attention. In meditation, if you let go of the need to latch on to something or take a position and feel this moment existing on its own without trying to control it or change it in any way, then you do not exist as a limitation, you do not exist as a solid separate thing, but rather as the essence of this moment, as the energy that makes this moment alive as vast, fluid, unlimited consciousness. Blessings, Kip"
"If you really look, you will see you are avoiding this moment, you are avoiding experiencingrnthis moment. It is not that you are somewhere else and you have to get back to here, it is that you are activelyrnavoiding this moment. If you can really be honest and see this reflex of avoiding this moment, then you can really begin to let it go and drop into this moment. You can begin to let go of thinking and experience what is here. Our problems make us important. Our knowledge makes us important. They keep usrnseparated from this moment.
Sometimes you just don’t feel like going within and centering yourself and slowing down. Sometimes you feel as though you truly don’t have time for it. Your life doesn’t allow for these seemingly frivolous breaks of jou aling, meditating, and soulfulness. What does this have to do with the real world anyway, you might ask yourself? How is this going to pay my bills or put food on the table? Rather than taking this time to slow down and nurture my spirit, you could instead use this time to catch up, run errands, and get ahead – right?
"Someone sent merna beautiful email recently. They said they were searching for something that they did not feel really had a name. Everyone is really looking for that same thing. That mystery which is fulfillment. But somewhere along the line most get caught up inrndefining it. In calling it enlightenment or kundalini or stillness or no mind. And in naming it, you lose what you were looking for, you create a 'something' on top of what you were seeking in the first place. A something that isrnimpossible to attain because it only exists in your idea of it.
In order to get what you want from life, you first have to know what you want. Amazingly enough, most people simply feel dissatisfied with their current lives, without being able to articulate exactly what they wish their lives looked like. General feelings of dissatisfaction will never be a ...
Version 1: The infinite variety of creation is the expression of one common essence. Version 2: The essence of all and everything is ‘being’; pure existence, pure intelligence. Version 3: Being is conscious of itself. It is awareness, the state of pure consciousness. Version 4: Being, intelligence or consciousness though completely abstract, is absolutely real. Version 5: Consciousness is omnipresent. By and out of itself it creates the manifest universe. Version 6: Consciousness is that, which by religions is called God, Allah, Shiva, Brahman, etc. Version 7:r
How many times have you begun a program to lose weight and become healthier only to stop and lose the progress that you made? I think we all have done this and when trying to return to the program it gets harder and harder the longer you stay away. I know this because this has been a hard place for me. I have battled this one and should I say I have made some changes this time around and I am on my way back to feeling healthy again. I am losing weight and I most of all am feeling healthier.
There are several words that are synonymous with harmony: peace, balance, rapport, cooperation, and unity. So many happenings in the world today are the opposite of the descriptive words above. So much of the world longs for peace, unity, and balance. It seems to be elusive, yet, it so many ways, it’s so simple. It really is. The saying goes something like, “Peace begins at home.” In order for us to ever expect peace in society or peace between nations we must learn to find it within ourselves and exemplify it to those we love right in our own homes.

In ground-breaking research earlier this century, Nobel laureate Dr. Wilder Penfield, attempted to "map" the connections between specific parts of the body and particular areas of the brain. He wanted to see, for example, where the "wires" from the hand led to, and where the connections to the feet ended up. To produce his map, Penfield had to be able to talk to his subjects while working on them. A needle stuck in a particular part of the brain might make a patient feel hung
On one occasion, Rabbi issued an order that they should not teach disciples in the open public market place. What was his exposition? âHow beautiful are your steps in sandals, O prince's daughter! The roundings of your thighs are like the links of a chain, the work of the hands of a skilled workman (Shir Hashirim 7:2).â As the thigh is covered so the discussions on the words of the Torah are also to be under cover. Rabbi Chiyah went out and taught the sons of his two brot
"In meditation, one of the greatest things you can dornis become aware of how thought identification happens. Become aware of the process of thoughts arising and the action ofrnbeing attached to identifying with those thoughts. There is a feeling of contraction behind it, a feeling of stress. A feeling of constantly holding on to something that is flying all over the place. And if you can recognize that attachmentrnthen you can begin to let go of it. You can begin tornrest in non attachment where thoughts are never even given the power to fully becomer
What’s preventing you from hearing your own Guidance? Turning down the unnecessary, unfounded, negative static of the thinking mind, allows us to better hear and feel our own Guidance. The first step in doing this is to notice thought. Catch thought in action, ranting on in its unexamined, relentless chatter. Now take your focus off of what the mind is saying, and put your mentally quiet focus on your body, your breathing, how you feel in your skin, or other stimuli of the present moment. Listen quietly. Perceive without mental evaluation.
The first step in creating your ideal life is knowing what you want. Unfortunately, there seems to be an “I’m not sure what I really want” epidemic going around. To quote the great 19th century American writer Mark Twain, “I can teach anybody to get what they want out ...

If you're a practitioner of yoga, you know how important it is to breathe correctly when going through the poses. Traditionally you are told to inhale and exhale fully as you move deeper into a pose to enable your body to stretch further, bring more benefits to you. There are many other ways ...
The Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT for short, has gained massive popularity over the past few years. The technique was developed by Gary Craig, and was build upon the work of Dr Roger Callahan called Thought Field Therapy (TFT). TFT was formed by combining ideas of quantum theory, kinesiology and acupuncture to create a modern healing technology. Proof That the Emotional Freedom Technique Works For all the logical brains out there I've compiled a short list of peer review
"If you give your full attention to anything without wanting anything in retu there is love and bliss. The particular action does not matter, it is that giving yourself over fully to that action which brings love and bliss. When you give someone you truly love a hug, you give yourself over to that hug. For that moment, you give uprntrying to be someone or get something. You lose yourself in that hug. That is how you should approach meditation. You lovingly give yourself over to it. Then there is no thought of attaining somethingr
Many people may ask why I write of "new" women empowerment when, in reality, this is a subject which has already been spoken of a lot and it is even boring to some. Having been born and grown up in a Latin American country, machismo surrounded me like a natural entourage and during its early stages, my brain adapted itself to the values of a "machista" mother, like many other mothers that, so many women of my generation inherited as founders of principles in the beginnings of

âJudge me, Lord, and plead my cause against a nation without passion. Rescue me from those who are deceitful and wicked. You are my Lord, my stronghold. Why have you rejected me? Why must I go about mourning, oppressed by the enemy? Send Your light and Your truth, let them lead me; let them bring me to the mountain of Your holy sanctuary, to the places where You dwell. Then I will go to the altar of the Lord, to the Power, my joy and my delight. I will praise You with the l

Writers always wonder where they should start a story, and inevitably they arrive at the conclusion to start at the beginning. I will start exactly where I am- a practice I would suggest to anyone on their own path of self realization. Today I am on the cusp of another major life change- possibility peaking its head over the horizon. Having spent years learning how to cope with my anxiety in the face of a future that I cannot control, I am making an effort to focus on my brea
"It's very easy to carry the past around with you. To think about what happened yesterdayrnor a year ago or 20 years ago. To think you could have done something different that would have made things better. Or link all of the memories together into a story and calling it 'me.' But it's all nonsense. What happened even 20 seconds ago has nothing to dornwith what you are now. From the perspective of the mind you are this person that stretches back in time. You are the sum of all of your memories. But this is only mental chatter. It has nothing to do withr

Do you value your life, your health and your happiness? How much is it worth to you to feel alive, vibrant and fulfilled or on purpose? Many say there is no price that can be placed on these things since they are so incredibly valuable and life is not really worth much without them. Here is what I have noticed: Just about everyone is making everything else MORE IMPORTANT than what they say really matters to them. Why do people choose priorities that are not in alignment with

Mindfulness meditation is about opening yourself up to what is here in this moment. You become aware of what is here without trying to change it in any way. It is best to try mindfulness meditation first with your eyes closed so that you do not get distracted by anything outwardly happening.
âAshramâ is a sanskrit word which means a place where a realized Spiritual Master resides along with his disciples and seekers of truth. Hence it can be called as a place where the spiritual vibrations are so positive that they serve as a catalyst for the spiritual growth of the meditator. India is an ancient land and its sages have been on the quest of self realization since many thousands of years, using meditation as a tool to raise their self consciousness. India thus
Now, to return to the root of the matter, since the radiance in them derives from the stimulus of the King and the stimulus of the King from Israelâs actions, Israel is the essence of the entire creation. âHow glorious is Your Name throughout the earth,â relates to the power received by the Holy Name on earth through the mystery of, âGrant strength to the Lord,â which I have mentioned. âBestow Your splendor above the heavens,â relates to the splendor involved in

"If you observe your experience in this moment, then you are not controlling this moment in any way, you are not involved with itrnin any way. From witnessing, there is the flow of energy that is happening, that is arising by itself, that is creating the movement of all phenomena in this moment. The thoughts arise in this flow of energy, the sensations arise and change in this flow of energy, it is all the flow of one energy, arising out of consciousness and dissolving back into consciousness. The energy takes the shape of certain thoughtsr

The four F's that helps us move forward when there seem to be obstacles on the path we have chosen. Yes, belief is a prison because it cripples you and therefore deprives you of your individuality. It is only when you doubt, enquire, explore and experience that you can be free, thus be an individual. The same applies to disbelief. Before you disbelieve, ask yourself whether you have enquired or explored adequately or whether it is just by listening to others or out of fear that you have closed yourself. Children are taught to believe, especially in matters of religion. Some
WHAT IS THE SPIRITUAL LIFE? Part Two. In part one we learnt that the beginning of SPIRITUAL LIFE is knowing that you are not your body. If you are not your body what are you? Well, most of you know you are a Spiritual Being, but what exactly is that? A Spiritual Being is a Dynamic Unit of Energy with the capacity to make considerations and postulates that can be felt as emotions and understood as thoughts or ideas. It can materialize 'thoughts and ideas' into a concrete reality in the physical world.
The Baal Shem Tov taught, âOur love of God should be like the love between brother and sister, or between a mother and her child, rather then like the love between man and wife were between lovers. The first may show their love of both in private and in public; whereas the latter do so in private only. We should not imitate those who say that our love of God should be demonstrated only in the synagogue were at home, but should not be shown on the street or in public places.
We all set goals for ourselves and work really hard to complete them. We do all of the necessary steps - we plan, we take action, and we complete them. And it feels great! And what do we usually do next? We move onto the next goal or the next project. And do all of the necessary steps - we plan, we take action, and we complete it. And this continues throughout each day - throughout our lives. And then something eventually happens where we start to feel resentful of what seems like a neverending pile of goals, and tasks, and "to dos."r
The way of the master - Being in, of and for lover Let’s discuss self-love. It’s the simple things we trip on, and skim over, in our dash for enlightenment. It’as a neglected part of our being and often the last place we look when we want a love “fix”. It certainly wasn’t trendy when I was at school to show any self-love. The, “I love me, who do you love?” and “she loves herself” attitude was pervasive and has to go.
Have you ever noticed how spiritual leaders really live their lives? Oftentimes, we place these people above ourselves and put them on a pedestal. I feel that when we so this, we are setting them up (and ourselves) for a great fall. My own sister used to tell me how much better than her she thought I was because of my spiritual practice.
Have you ever looked at someone else’s life and wondered how they managed to do everything so smoothly and seamlessly? Their Lifer
