The ticking clock of aging begins very early in our life, and with each passing year its' effects becomes more pronounced. For we are an expression not only of our genetic inheritance, but also of our cultural reality, upbringing, life experiences and our interpretation of those life experiences. The Quality Of Life: If we look past a mere numbers game, what does 'older' age have to offer in terms of benefits and rewards? And how does our relative age influence our thinking about ourselves, others, and life in general?
Years ago I was participating in a men's bible study class. The topic that day was parenthood. Many of the men present had grown children and grandchildren. At some point in the discussion, I commented that my observation had always been that parenthood was a big game of monkey see, monkey do. The comment first drew a bit of laughter. But the group also had to admit I had a point. Several of the more experienced gentlemen present went on to comment on how much of themselves they saw in their children.
June 22nd, 1993 ⦠A day so profound, a day that is forever etched in my mind and yet continues to change with time. I was a registered nurse and mother of four children and had achieved a goal that would allow me to see the world as a traveling nurse. I only had two weeks to go before seeing ...June 22nd, 1993 ⦠A day so profound, a day that is forever etched in my mind and yet continues to change with time. All of us want love. We will do just about anything to obtain it. Many of you are in dead-end relationships, but remain in those situations despite the fact that there is abundant evidence that the relationship is doomed. Why do you stay, despite opposing data? Furthermore, how can you determine when and if it would be more beneficial to end the relationship and look elsewhere for love? Why Do We Stay Despite Evidence to the Contrary? Each of us is a spiritual being living in a physical body.
One of my apprentices often called me, upset because there were no “good men” out there. She had been in so many relationships, she said, waiting for a man that would be present and show his feelings. She told me that she was often fooled, thinking a particular man wanted to share with her in a ...
Organized religion and the hard sciences add to our stash of knowledge. Unfortunately, part of this knowledge is only religious fervor or junk science; in other words, human knowledge—information twisted by politics, personal ideologies, or money. Basically, human information is not scientific; therefore, humanity can get bogged down by the fervor and junk until we realize truth is not defined by human knowledge.

Many of us communicate with God.
Underlying every change you wish for is a layer that must be transformed yet is rarely addressed. It is the root from which all else emerges…and the key to sustained transformation. It has become a part of you, integrating itself in the subtleties and intricacies of who you have come to think yourself to be…as well as those aspects which seem the most obvious, in spite of the fact that they are false and deceiving you of your own potential. Underlying every change you wish for is a layer that has likely formed itself from illusions that feel true and perspectives that are not.
There is an enormous amount of violence against women. After such trauma, many of these women may feel there is no good within them. Therefore, healing from abuse may be necessary. Specifically, rape victims, sexual abuse survivors and/or domestic violence victims may require help to improve their self-esteem.
By Rev. Robert A. Crutchfield There 's an old saying in computers, “Garbage in, Garbage out!” What that means is your result depends on what you put in and the quality of what you put in. In truth computers only mimic what we as people do. This is a prime example.
People say I’m not your typical Christian Scientist. I started practicing Christian Science in college, and 25 years later, I revised and updated the book most commonly linked to Christian Science, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, written by 19th century icon, Mary Baker Eddy. I am not dedicated to church rituals, and I don’t avoid doctors—typical stereotypes associated with the faith. However, being typical or atypical doesn’t make me any more or less spiritual than my peers.
When my grandmother passed away at 98 it was a very difficult time in my life. As part of the process of working through my own grief I wrote the following poem. Grandma Went Home On Mother’s Day She was the mother of a son and a daughter. She was the loving grandmother to five. She was a great-grandmother, and a great-great grandmother too. Grandma went home on Mother’s Day She never thought of herself as an artist. Yet her family was her greatest masterpiece. She loved each of them totally, and completely. Grandma went home on Mother’s Day.
In our last article I shared about Acceptance. What I failed to share is that I am going to write a series of articles related to your energy centers, (aka Chakras) and the concepts that allow your energy to flow at your full potential. To regroup Acceptance, this is the Inflow chakra, the First Chakra and it is associated with the pineal glad located at the base of the skull. The percentage of energy that flows through this chakra is directly related to your self-acceptance
In today’s society, as a woman we live in a new age world with a new generation of people who are disturbed in their spirits and confused in their minds; In addition, we all wonder why most women are stressed, overwhelmed, distracted and frustrated with life. Women are having a very hard time identifying their femininity, sexuality and spirituality. We really don’t know as a woman the power we possess within ourselves. Many of us were taught to extend ourselves out to others; we spend most of our lifetime catering to the needs of unappreciative individuals.
Time stress. There is time to do the needful. Be at Peace. There is time for Peace. During the Holidays, the stress of trying to do everything on your list can cause you to miss the best part. Being with the people you love. Be at peace. One day when I was particularly overwhelmed and anxious about what I was supposed to do, I received the guidance to go out and sit on my patio. The sun was shining warm on my face, the birds where singing a symphony. A gentle breeze caressed my check. And the angels gave me this most wonderful blessing of love.
This principle, Quantum Manifestation Of Heart Based Abundance is a platform that is expressed by the teachings of Marina Jacobi. This quantum physics structure is the elevated way to address and end the slavistic money structure forced on humanity and instead enter into a fifth dimensional abundance structure where all has all. Welcome! Through the messages and the path revealed through what is shared, one can intuit and glean the messages meant for them individually. Welcome to the natural magic of the real paradigm of do good unconditionally and receive good unconditionally!
You know you want to be successful, most people do. But, do you know that the surest and quickest way to your own success is helping others? It's true and it's within the law of attraction principles. Giving away that which you most desire opens the flood gates to your own success. It also ...
Before you get offended or x out of the page hear me out. I’ve been coaching for many years and have worked with hundreds of people. I’ve made a terrific discovery. There are two types of people who sign up for coaching and or healing work. The first group is filled with folks who really don’t want change unless you can do it for them. They want a magic mantra, a quick fix and you to answer all their live questions.
When someone you love leaves the physical body the pain is intense. It feels as there a huge hole has been torn in your heart and gut. You are shocked, it's impossible to accept, to get your head around the fact that no longer will you be able to talk with your loved one. This is grief. It's a pain so intense that only those who have experienced it understand the feeling of it. As a mother of four children I can tell you that giving birth in no ways is as painful as getting word that your child has been killed in a car accident.
A close friend of mine is in her twelfth year of cancer and facing the challenges of old age, too. I called to check in on her and listened for the next half hour as she described her situation and challenges. Her pain and frustration poured out of her mouth. Compassionate hearing is both a vital need during challenges and a valuable gift that we can give. Most of us don’t know how to listen. To listen compassionately, we need to overcome a few obstacles: 1. We don’t want to feel the pain and are unwilling to listen. 2.
Pain is a fact of being and one that permeates all of our lives to some degree. Since the hurt we feel may be a part of the experiences that have touched us most deeply, we are often loathe to let it go. It is frequently easier to keep our pain at our sides, where it acts as a shield that shelters us from others and gives us an identityâthat of victimâfrom which we can draw bitter strength. However, painâs universality can also empower us to use our hurt to help others
If Goldilocks were to leaf through a few meditation books, she might find some approaches to be too hot, others too cold. But soon enough, we know she’d land on a system that feels “just right” to her. She always does. Meditation is Like Porridge When you take your first taste of meditation, ...
It goes without saying that divorces are intricately complicated and intensely personal. They can be necessary or unwanted; devastating or invigorating. Regardless of the reasons why a couple elects to divorce, or the range of emotions it can produce, it’s a life changing experience that alters our mental, emotional, and spiritual landscape for a good, long time. I should know. I’ve been divorced twice. And while both divorces were beneficial in the long run, they were agonizing.r
Hypnosis can be considered as a process of inducing an altered state of consciousness. When in an hypnotic state you are not asleep and you are not fully awake. You are in a trance-state for lack of a better word. A trance is a state of mind in which a hypnotised person is able to free their mind from the constraints of their five senses, and their other conscious mental activities. Hypnosis is a state of awareness, dominated by the subconscious mind. This trance state is typically experienced as relaxing, blissful, dreamy or for some it just feels "different".
How many of you have experienced something very painful? Have you been too ashamed or guilty to discuss your unpleasant issue with others? If so, why do you think that has been the case? Would you agree that everything we learn in life comes from the teaching of others and our own experiences? Therefore, could it be that the reactions of others have programmed you to feel ashamed, guilty or angry? Furthermore, have you noticed that you are unhappy?
When practicing the quantum manifestation blueprint by Marina Jacobi and other intelligent, loving beings, we find that the synchronicities that caught our eyes as children are come to be! When we free-will choose to look through the negative hologram by parting the stage curtains into the backstage of our self-aware existence, we can choose to find the positive, co-created hologram that is available to us that is the Crystallized Structure of Manifestation.
In this world there will always be challenges in life. We are after-all imperfect people living in a fallen world. “ For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23. Since none of us are perfect our lives cannot be perfect, things happen. When things happen even though they may be unintentional we end up with consequences to deal with. We are also affected by the consequences of the people around us. It is here that our ability to overcome the consequences of this world is called upon.
Are the spiritual ideas useful in everyday life? The spiritual ideas or truths are ete al and so practical in applying them daily. As we have desire to grow spiritually or demonstrate the power of Spirit over the matter in our everyday activities, the ideas and truths revealed themselves in the ...
The child wants to have what she wants She cries in the night for love in her heart That doesn’t live up to the day’s activities The pain of hearing you are not enough, you will never be good enough, why are you so bad, why do you do these things, people will never like you And on ...
(Usui Method) Reiki in Japanese means the vital energy that spreads through everything and is everywhere, even inside us. Rei is the boundless universal aspect, Ki is the aspect flowing in everything showing and living. So Rei = universe, Ki = energy; Reiki = universal energy. n Reiki is a ...
As within, so without... What we see reflected in our exte al reality is a reflection of our internal (spiritual) reality. As the current civilization experiences an orchestrated economic depression, many people are bringing a lot of their attention toward finances and the apparent ...
I encompass many roles in my life, I am a woman, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a career artist, a business woman, a teacher, a friend, a healer and the list goes on and on. These are all great and positive view points of me. Attached are my other beliefs of who I am; I am a victim, an illiterate, physically challenged in my weight, survivor of abuse, a recovered alcoholic, recovering from mental illness and many other negative stigmas. These are a few labels I have put on myself; some on my own accord and some with the aid of other people’s judgments.
The term, âSpiritual healingâ may seem to be an odd word in this era of advanced technology. However, the truth of the very existence of the invisible power called âGodâ cannot be just ignored. As Spirituality involves the acceptance of god beyond intelligence with whom we have relationship, spiritual healing does have a great importance in a personâs life. nn The Principles: nnYou will be well- aware of the fact that, physical healing greatly depends upon deeper he
Increasingly these days I fear that the word Love is bandied about way too freely. People say it to someone because they think that's what they are SUPPOSED to say, not really because it reflects how they feel. I'm not even sure many people truly understand what love means anymore.
We are all born innately free spirited and living in the moment, then something happens; we are taught that we have to wait until after dinner for the cookies, we can't go to the play ground until after homework and we must even wait for Christmas or another special occasion to receive all that we have been asking for. Certainly, there is nothing wrong with any of this and there is even a sense of excitement and positive anticipation in the wait.
The Premise Many instances exist in our society where children are hurt because of the lack of parental protection or control. Often, it seems obvious to us, as rape victims and sexual abuse survivors, that with more parental involvement that those tragic events may have been avoided completely. We may ask, "Why didn't my parent or guardian protect me?" The answer may lie in the fact that a pattern of abuse can follow from generation to generation, affecting our parent's actions.
I do not know how to distinguish between our waking life and a dream. Are we not always living the life we imagine we are? • Henry David Thoreau The shamans of indigenous cultures consciously traveled the dreamworld to heal individuals and ensure the survival of their communities. Resurgence in this ancient wisdom indicates that our culture is opening to the gifts of dreaming and the many benefits of listening to dream wisdom.
It’s interesting. 2005 a brand new year, and yet the ‘new’ wishes and blessings we would wish on our family and friends seems to have dissipated with the after Christmas tragedy in the Indian ocean. Is it really a tragedy? What are we to do? Be? We have gone through the ...
Whether we call them resolutions, promises, initiatives or some other name, many of us are almost always in some stage of making changes to one or more aspects of our lives. We determine to quit bad habits, acquire good habits, eat less, save more, etc. You know the drill. Unfortunately, these are the types of superficial changes that mask the REAL changes that need to take place in our lives.
Stress of buying presents. Your presence is the present. Just Be. Imagine sitting in your living room one afte oon when there is a knock on the door from the Holy Spirit! Would you open the door? I did. I’m Rev. Dr. Kimberly Marooney and I’m known as The Elevator to God because I’ve helped hundreds of thousands of people worldwide experience the personal presence of God. So there I was, praying one afte oon in my living room asking for an experience of Grace. My prayer was answered with a visitation.
If you believe that God encompasses everything, is it not true that His spirit also resides within you? It has to be somewhere in us, but where does the spirit reside within? Charles Crooks is a shaman and healer/teacher. In his teaching he asks, "What is the component of breath that we find so valuable to ourselves?" The vital life force is a concept often discussed and many times portrayed in various forms in movies. Do you suppose your breath contains this force?
Today the world is being challenged by an increase in chaos everywhere we look. Newspapers continually report on the violent killings of children, families and friends. Food and water pollution are increasing. In 2008 and 2009 in the U.S., we saw outbreaks of salmonella and e-coli that made ...
Sadness, missing people you love who have left. Be in Love. “On the 3rd day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…” a Remembrance of Love. Our True Love is the Holy Spirit, or God, or whatever you call the Most High. Many people experience deep despair during the Holidays. The absence of those we love and have lost, or who are away, feels much more acute. Our hearts ache as we miss them. The Holy Spirit transforms sadness into love and we reach out. Sadness is a doorway to the deeper desires of our souls for Divine Love.
There is no doubt that we are inundated every single day with all kinds of information that comes to us in a variety of ways via signs and symbols. Archetypes have been deeply embedded in our psyche (our soul) since the beginning of time. Before formal language, signs and symbols was the way early civilizations communicated. Just about everything in our world has a label that is associated with some sort of meaning. Almost every discipline has its own set of symbols that must be learned.
Several years ago, I read Naomi Wolf’s groundbreaking book, The Beauty Myth: How Images of Beauty Are Used Against Women. It’s a provocative, intelligent, and compelling read. It also confirmed several of my fears—namely, that our culture’s obsession with maintaining youth, beauty, and vitality restricts women in the workforce, creates unrealistic standards that are fraught with anxiety, and leads to depression, eating disorders, self-doubt, and a lack of spiritual fulfillment.
It doesn't matter what the occasion, one of the last things anybody wants to see on a box at the store is the phrase “Some assembly required”. Unfortunately for us as leaders, our teams always come with some assembly required, and so do each of the members of our team. As leaders it is our responsibility to make sure the members of our team are as fully developed as possible. John Maxwell even said “Growing value in your people is the core of leadership”. So how do we grow our people especially in terms of adding value to them, so they in turn can add value to our team?
