Dr. Koff has been a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University Of Connecticut School Of Medicine since 2003 and as a renowned hepatologist, he has been an avid advocate for prevention of liver diseases providing science based medical advice and publications encouraging liver health and wellness education for the Hepatitis Foundation International and is also co-chair of the Partners in Liver Wellness.

He received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York in 1962. He was an intern and resident on the Ward Medical Service of Barnes Hospital-Washington University in St. Louis from 1962 to 1964. He joined the Epidemic Intelligence Service of the National Communicable Disease Center , the forerunner of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and began a series of investigations of viral hepatitis in Boston between 1964 and 1966. He also trained in gastroenterology at the Massachusetts General Hospital from 1966 to 1969 and then joined the Boston Veterans Administration Hospital as a Clinical Investigator and became Chief of Hepatology at the Medical Center and Professor of Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine. . Throughout his career viral hepatitis and its prevention have been the focus of his research, educational activities, and clinical practice.

Mr. Delirious' book on his journey to healing with hepatitis Cis emblematic of the journey many of our patients have taken.  Without a strong wellness system in place with physicians, patients are often left to experiment on their own.  His journey, including a strict, healthy diet and hyperbaric treatments, has been successful in creating a healthy environment for his normal immune system to eradicate the virus from hisbody.  Modern medicine should be studying these techniques to allow more patients to take advantage of them.  As he points out in his well written story, not all patients have enough will to live to make these changes. However, for those interested in creating healing, this book provides extremely entertaining and useful insights into what that journey may look like and a starting point for their venture.
