Years ago I went horse back riding with a friend. I had never been horse back riding. I was nervous, but I seemed to be doing okay. Suddenly, my friend’s horse took off running and so mine followed. I was scared to death. All I could think was, “Get me off this horse!” I got my wish. I fell off ...

I was in a conversation recently where a story was shared that was one of those WOW moments. It is one that proves the power of turning a resentment into a gift. I just had to pass this story on today. My friend was sharing that his step-daughter is about to start her Ph.D. education working towards her Veterinarian degree. He shared that when he married his wife many years ago and with the step-daughter living with them; her biological father turned to a financial dead beat.
“The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people.” – Randy Pausch
Each of you is made up of many different levels of energetic light and vibrations. In order to understand and participate within all levels of self and consciousness you must allow yourself to be free of physical thought.r
Practical Spirituality--Surviving Prostrate Cancer There’s nothing like discovering that you have cancer, especially if no one in your family ever had it. Cancer is a very dangerous disease, as anyone knows. It is only dangerous on the physical lever, but probably even more devastating on the ...
Have you asked yourself “What is going on?” Especially on those days you find yourself waking up possessed by a strange New Age schizophrenic mind that at one moment, tells you that ‘You are happy!’; making you smile and stretch out your arms eagerly to embrace the sunlight and your day!
For many, the beginning of a new year brings promises of new positive habits and the release of old negative ones. While we start the year off motivated to make big changes in our lives, we often lose steam before the end of February. But what about those that actually do stick to their resolutions, what is their secret to success?
Throughout our everyday lives, we need to make choices all the time. Sometimes, we may find making any choice an overwhelming experience. Because we have so much going through our minds at once, it is often hard to sort through this ricochet of ideas, thoughts and information and make the choice that resonates with us. Then, feeling bogged down in the fear that we’ll make the “wrong” or ” bad” choice, we often become paralyzed or avoid making a choice altogether. Unfortunately, not making a choice through fear or avoidance is still making a choice.
Are you living your dream? Is your life full of magical moments, and do you jump out of bed excitedly each morning? Or do you struggle to haul yourself out of bed and drag yourself to the job that you loathe, and get home, tired, stressed, and miserable? Much of the literature in the self help industry asks you what you are passionate about. It is never money that inspires people to be happy, it is what the money can buy you- free time, plane tickets, a fast car, or whatever the money would represent to you if you had it.
Living in the present moment is the key to having full access to your personal power. Only when you release the constant stream of daydreams and mental chatter can you function at full capacity. When you accept the now you are more alert, relaxed, and energized. Also it is very common to experience spontaneous joy and optimism. Many spiritual teachers make this point, but due to the experiential nature of present moment mindfulness, people often do not grasp the power of the message.
OK, I know what you’re probably thinking. It’s easy to see the connection between dieting and DNA, or at least how your DNA might have something to do with your weight. But dating and DNA?

One very common stumbling block on the journey to spiritual growth is how to be of service and at the same time, earn a decent wage and market yourself successfully. There are a few theories as to why healers and other carers find asking for money difficult. My favourite is that in ancient societies, the healers, and the medicine men and women were supported by the tribe and no money changed hands for the service. In return for their services, they were provided with food and lodgings, and very often a huge dose of respect from those they served.
I almost entitled this article Learning from our mistakes, but I don’t want to refer to the opportunity to learn as a mistake. The title of one of Wayne Dyer’s books echoing in my head, Change your thoughts, change your life. Since changing my life for the better is a constant theme, then it is clear that changing the way I think is a necessity.

It doesn't matter how many times you have heard the saying "Money doesn't buy happiness" how many of us still go ahead as if it is the answer to all of our dreams? Everything around us, in the media and almost everywhere you go, shouts out this message until we become convinced that only when we have all the things that money can buy will we be happy.

Most of us value the companionship, love and the intimacy of having a mate but how do these relationships impact our efforts at spiritual growth? Those of us who take a mystic approach to spirituality and who may utilize a particular Sadhana or yogic technique, have most certainly come across the debate on sensory indulgences, life force control and the temptations of carnal pleasures.
Fall has always been my favorite time of year; with the brilliant colors of the trees, falling leaves, crisp cool air, and beautiful dappled sunlight. Even though I am no longer in school, every autumn still feels like the beginning of a new year for me. It is a time to go inward, to regain ...
Sabine Sangitar spoke about the ascension of planets Landras and Partoos on November 9, 2011: In the meantime many things have calmed down on Landras. The Pioneers on Landras, who are in the adaptation phase now, have for some time had the possibility to connect their 18 aspects whenever they want to. Consequently they can travel with their merkabah, something they really enjoy doing. With that they spread much spirituality, and many inhabitants, who had experienced an inner view before, are being guided into a stable awakening.
Even though current events seem to indicate that the world is going to hell in a handbasket, as my beloved grandfather used to say, I believe that the human race is coming together. There is tremendous demand for positive change, which is rocking the foundations of the old order. The ...
When you look in the mirror do you really see yourself? Is it a quick look with just a hand through the hair or a concentrated look as you apply your makeup? Are you focused on the hair while shaving or tweezing your face? Do you avoid the mirror? Do You Really See You? I ask these questions to help you to consider what you see… What do you focus on when looking in the mirror?
Eckhart Tolle, author of A New Earth and The Power of Now, quotes Krishnamurti as describing the path to enlightenment this way: ‘I don’t mind what happens.’ When I heard this, I sensed this was important, but it sounded shocking. For someone like me, it was uncomfortable saying ‘what happens’ because it gave, in my mind, a reality to the unreal. To me, much of the human experience is blind to the REAL Creation, the one that is connected to both Creator and Creation.
I am Lady Amethyst. I greet you with the words OMAR TA SATT. I am the mother of many children here and as cosmic mother I express my deep love for you. For when you were created in the universe it was I who was with you from the beginning of time.
A Dawning New I was sitting on the edge of Black Balsam Mountain not far from the Blue Ridge Parkway and looking down on Looking Glass Rock in the distance. My heart was full to near bursting with what I had just witnessed of the glory of a new day dawning. Clouds parted and the warmth of the sun fell upon my little world and within seconds a score of birds was chirping and whirling about me as if thrilled with the prospects of a new day. It occurred to me then that perhaps

Breathing in healing energy is a very simple and basic jewel for your jewel box. It can be done anywhere, any time throughout the day as a part of your daily practice. It is a powerful tool in the grieving process as well. The breath or prana is the life force energy. As you consciously breathe you are directing the breath to where you need it the most. Then breathing in healing energy becomes the intention resulting in deeper relaxation, removing energy blocks and releasing the grief of a broken heart.

Remembering back as far as I can, prayer has always been a part of my life. At bedtime, the traditional, “Now I lay me down to sleep, I prayer the Lord my soul to keep. Thy love go with me through the night, and wake me with the morning light.” At meals, two different prayers of which only ...
Today is the start of my forty-sixth year on this Earth and I wanted to celebrate this morning by enjoying what the Earth has to offer. I have been house-sitting near Airport Trail for a month and even though I walk it nearly every day, I never grow tired of it. Waking up at the crack of dawn, I put on my baseball cap to shield the early sun from my eyes and headed out the door. I wondered what I would see on my travels on this day only to be happily surprised by the amount of visitors crossing my path.
Lies are like weeds. They start out small, and then grow until they're out of control. And like weeds, they keep popping up again and again. Once they take root, they grab a firm hold, and won't let go.
For many of us, when we find ourselves in dire circumstances we begin to resist the uncomfortable feeling of being disconnected or misaligned. We develop a resistance to ourselves and to the undesirable and often times unbearable experience we are having. Many times, the negative feeling of resistance that we are experiencing stems from an unmet desire or expectation-something outside of us that has not fulfilled itself to our hope of what it “should” be.
Mulungu tree bark is a wonderful anti-anxiety herb and it also helps with insomnia. And mulungu doesn’t really have any side effects, much better than all those medications that have a long laundry list of side effects. Where it Grows - The Mulungu Tree or Erythrina mulungu grows in Central, South America, and South Africa and has been around for a very long time, but has not really gotten much press until just lately. The tree grows from 30 to 40 feet tall and has lots thorns and lots of beautiful red flowers that are pollinated by hummingbirds.
Recently I needed to travel into the beautiful city of Vancouver British Columbia on business. Since these where to be all day sessions I took the beautiful Westcoast Express into the city. The train runs along the Fraser River all the way into the city. While sitting watching the river roll by, I recorded these thoughts I would like to share with you today.
What happens when we hold back? I know for me, I feel like I have not given my full effort. It may be a project I am working on, it may be making dinner or it may be my contribution in an office meeting.
Everyone should understand this beautiful universe in the setting of Belief in the Cohesion of Allah. Our holy prophet is the one and his message is simple and unique. People were created to worship God alone. The God of Islam is a Loving Beloved God and a Compassionate God. A God who showers those who adhere to His way in life with love, close relationship with whom is based on submission, remembrance, yearning, and polishing of the heart. rnGod does not need our admirations
Once you've got a great workshop idea, the next step is to find the right venue. Since not all venues are not created equal, here are 3 questions every spiritual practitioner MUST ask before booking your spiritual workshop location. Question #1: Do they have an established clientele and, if so, who are they? Ideally, you want to book your workshop in a venue with an established clientele that matches the profile of your perfect workshop guest. The reasons are twofold:
We are God, also. We are the creators of our own reality. I am God. You are God. God is in all of us. God is in all things. God is not some bearded entity in heaven that looks down upon us, pulling the strings of our life events, telling us which way to go and what to do and how to live. The ...
Left wing… Right wing… two sides of the same coin! Most people approach their political views from a self-interest point of view. Those who feel prosperous want to protect it. Those who feel poverty seek to remedy it. Thus, if a person’s experience changes, such as a poor person becoming rich or vice-versa, there’s a likelihood that their political beliefs will change as well since their interests have changed. But what if we approached our politics from another perspective that wasn’t about our own benefit?
The energy this year has already started with a great deal of optimism and is much more progressive than 2010. The foundation phase has finished, it is now the time to be clear on what it is you want to change, rather than live in ‘hope’ of your life progressing differently. Take time to plan what you want for 2011. If you’re not sure how to, here are a few ideas for you:
Why is it we all seem to struggle so? Why so much dissatisfaction? We never seem quite satisfied with who we are, with what life brings, with where we are in ourselves. It’s almost as if, were we atisfied, we fear there’d be no more reason for us to live; as if the Creator might descend on some big burst of light and pluck us straight away: “This one’s done! Beam him up, Scotty.”
In a world of six billion people, itâs easy to believe that the only way to initiate profound transformation is to take extreme action. Each of us, however, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others. As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy,
Have you ever thought about what we would do if Jesus walked as a man on the earth today and He performed the miracles that we read about in the Bible? Many of Jesus’ followers were eye witnesses to the amazing miracles Jesus worked in His life while he was here on the earth.

Lately, I've been watching episodes from the 1970s TV show, Kung Fu, on DVD. It starred David Carradine as Kwai Chang Caine, a half-Chinese, half-American Shaolin priest who wanders the post-civil war American West looking for his long-lost brother. Caine is a martial arts master who resorts to using his fighting skills only when someone's safety is at stake. Kung Fu introduced many Westerners to some of the basic tenets of Eastern thought. Like fine art and true wisdom, many of the teachings espoused in the show are timeless and universal in nature.

There was a famous billionaire said that even normal pavements are paved of gold if only there is a person will spend time to find the reason why. Everyone could get rich, however the problem is that a person is often so deep in thought with negativity that his or her eye fails to see. Below are misplaced belief which are established firmly in the human psyche which keep the eye from seeing the possibility of getting rich. The process of creating wealth is proportional dire
This week I’ve been working on a new product for my website. I found myself very busy doing a lot of activities; but discovered that I was not being effective. Instead of working on the product development, I allowed myself to be distracted and working on other minor tasks. Overtime I have learned that when I’m not moving forward but am very busy; I need to ask myself why am I holding myself back? The answer nearly always comes back that I’m allowing Fear to creep into my life.
