Angela Andrews is a Simplicity Coach, Certified Evernote Consultant, and Website Creator who loves to empower people to conquer the chaos in their life and business through organizing, simplifying, and focusing. She believes in “Simplifyzing” which combines organization with simplification. It’s all about keeping things simple. After all, if something is organized but it takes you hours each week to keep it organized, what’s the point?
I love to empower people to conquer the chaos in their life or business through organizing, simplifying, and focusing.
I started my business after I realized I was a recovering control-freak-perfectionist who wanted to be a true free spirit.
I’ve always loved day planners, making lists, and especially checking things off my list. I became a Controller for small businesses, which meant I controlled the finances, the people – basically just a lot of controlling. At first I liked it. Then I hated it.
I liked how it made me feel to have things organized, but oftentimes I felt like I spent too much time just trying to keep things organized. I craved more freedom, fewer rules and restrictions. And I didn’t want to be working 40–50 hours a week, sitting in traffic all the time, and doing a job that made me feel drained.
I decided I would create my own business that would allow me more freedom and that I would do whatever brings me joy. I also knew I wanted to contribute to the world in a meaningful way.
So I took a lot of classes and workshops on organizing, decluttering, minimalism, creating a business you love, marketing, and lots more. I became a Certified Life Coach. And I later became a Certified Evernote Consultant. And I discovered I love creating beautiful yet simple websites for entrepreneurs so now I offer website packages and I'm Online Business Manager for hire.
And I realized that when I would learn something new, I had this way of taking it and simplifying it so that it was even easier and took less time to complete. My 20+ years as a Controller had taught me the methods to organize things, but what I added was the simplifying piece so it was quicker and easier to do.
And it just all came together. I started showing others how to do things quicker, better, and help them to see that it doesn’t have to be complicated.
It’s all about keeping things simple. If something is organized but it takes you hours each week to keep it organized, what’s the point?
So now I help people simplify their lives and businesses.
