When doing Angel Readings for clients, the most common questio I am asked is - do I have angels? The answer is always, yes. Then, clients often ask me, why can’t I feel/hear/see them? The simple answer is, because you do not allow it.

I’ve been kicking around the idea of “being an adult” with my apprentices in TACO, my online apprenticeship program. What does it actually mean to be an adult—to really be “grown up,” and no longer simply pretending to be?

A new client called to tell me that she and her husband had a big fight because he wouldn’t listen to her share her feelings. He said he was tired of being made wrong; and all she wanted to do was tell him how she felt. She asked me, in a very discouraged tone; “How can I get him to just listen when I try to tell him how he is making me feel, instead of arguing with me?”

How will improving my self-image improve my life? Why do I need to resolve my “mother and father” issues? What does my relationship with my boss have to do with my marriage? What does my back pain have to do with my bank account? On the face of it, perceiving psychological connections between various aspects of life and personal history which seem separate is not high on most people’s agendas. In today’s world, people often seek a specific solution to target a specific problem. This view has been reinforced by the mental health model preferred by 3rd party insurance providers.

People ask me if I teach classes on Christian Science. Currently, the Christian Science milieu is awkwardly moving into a new phase and so I answer, “No, I don’t teach Christian Science in a formal setting.” The demand at hand is to generate tools for continued learning and that is where my energy is placed. Teaching Christian Science requires more than a love of its logic and beauty.

In upstate New York, where winter weather causes treacherous driving conditions, salt is generously scattered on the icy roads. Salt lowers the freezing point, causing the ice to melt. Needless to say, at 5 a.m., in minus 5 degree weather when I am driving to work, I find salt extremely useful. Salt is interesting. I also use salt in the kitchen, as a preservative or seasoning for food. And, it doesn’t surprise me that Christ Jesus was mentioned as using salt in a metaphor.

For steps seven through nine we begin to clean up the garbage we left behind us during our addict days. Let's just say there's a lot of cleaning up to do and this process is one that needs to be repeated many times through your working the steps. As you approach these steps the first time, be gentle with yourself and don't attempt to "do it all" the first time around. The Big Book suggest that we be "fearless and thorough" from the very start but, I must caution newcomers that being too overconfident has lead many a newcomer into relapse and worse into death.

Walking near my home, I was praying. I could feel myself caught in fear. A deep place of fear, and pain of abandonment by God had surfaced. This feeling kept me spinning for a few weeks. From acknowledging this state, a prayer of gratitude emerged. “Thank you God that this deep place of pain has surfaced so I can open it to be healed! This is a huge gift. Thank you God that more love and trust will result from this opening.” I could feel the shift as I prayed.

Father’s day reminds me of many years ago when I attended a different church. The pastor there was the head of the jail ministry at the local county jail. He would tell us of how on Mother’s Day they would bring Mother’s Day cards so that the inmates who were so inclined could send a card to their mothers. The way I see it, Viesturs synchronized with the spiritual perception of persistence and judgment.
