If you are a restaurant, café, or coffee shop there are several fabulous Social Networks that you can participate in to drive customers to your business.

The list includes Foursquare, Gowalla, Facebook Places, and Twitter.

If you have signed up for these networks great, but your work is not done yet. You need to do the following:

1) Let your audience know they can find you on Social Networks. Tell them which Social Networks you participate in and how to find you. Add a note by the cash register, add it on the cash register receipts, tell friends and family, and/or have it printed on napkins.

2) Build even more traffic and give people coupons or discounts. It is easy enough. For example, Tweet out that between 2 -3 pm anyone that says the word Twitter at checkout gets a free scone or soda.

3) Offer something extra special to those who check-in frequently. Why? They’ll be the one’s telling all their friends and connections why your place is THE place to be.
