This review doesn't go over each of the classes of hair straighteners or flat irons on the market. Just the top tier products were reviewed and price was not considered.

These reviews are based solely on the feed back of consumers, features and product quality. This won't take cost into consideration.

1) The FHI Runway Series - This brand of straightener is easily the best available on the market. The FHI Runway Series provides every cutting edge feature; damp-or-dry styling, adjustable heat, revolutionary heating plates, 450F max temp, lightening fast heat time and the most dependable plate heating of any product available. Runway models also have the best consumer feed back of each the products we reviewed. If you want the best and most effective hair straighteners out there this is most definitely it, and they are pricey. These Irons sell for about $400.

Is the FHI Runway Series really worth the money? Certainly, if you can afford it.

2) The FHI Platform Series - As leaders in the development of ceramic plating and tourmaline integration, FHI's Platform series offers consumers a first-class hair straightener at a much more affordable price. Available to buy in multiple sizes, the Platform series offers 450F max heat, adjustable temperature, PTFC ceramic heat plates and ultra flash heat times. While these items are less expensive than the Runway series, it's important to note that they're still on the expensive side at around $150 - $200.

3) CHI Pink Series - The popular pink hair straightener provides consumers the best reliability and performance of any straightener in the Farouk CHI line. Flash heat times, temperature control, and ceramic plates combined with an ergonomically designed handle make the CHI ceramic flat iron a wonderful choice for those who want to get the most from their hair.

4) T3 Wet-or-Dry - This straightener actually has a rank that is above the CHI Pink series as far as product features, but it was knocked to the fourth spot because customers have had trouble with returns on the warranty. Aside from that, this model provides consumers with a sturdy ceramic design.
