The Syncretistic Formalizing of Current Beliefs

And I Wanted to be So Revolutionary -

So many religions are born in the white hot fire of social conflict and change, and then the little begiinning religion has to go through centuries of development. The human consciousness has to grow toward it, and the new religion succeeds because essentially, the time has come for it. CHRISTASTROISM is essentially syncretistic and a homage to what the Greek centered belief contained around the Life of Christ. I have come up with this name not to hearken back and have a debate about what people really believed in when. It is my sincere little impulse that we should just NAME, right now, what many people ALREADY bellieve. I wanted to be a revolutionary and sound some ancient trumpet that would make our religious inner selves vibrate with the certainty of a new truth. But alas, I have come up with a merging of two names. I will tell you why.

"Christ" -

"Christ" is the Annointing that each human soul can realize when they see that Redemptive Power is theirs as a Birthright, if they will only accept it. The "Christos" is what they said Jesus the Prophet had. His Annointing, or often interpreted to mean "wounding" was a concept that he was "dubbed" the Messiah. This Christ like name has to do with a separation. The separation has to do with the realization that EACH SOUL can attain to the special annointing. The wounding has to do with the burden that the Soul carries once they have accepted this Separateness. Once they realize that they can be in charge of their Kingdom or Doman that is Divine, then they really do have to live their lives in a different way. Jesus the Prophet kept on talking about this, and people got it, but then the personification of Jesus kept on getting in the way of the individual realization that each person could be in charge of his own Spiritual Destiny.

"Astroism" -

"Astroism" is the belief that many many people have today. Regardless of religious background, reincarnation, the belief that we need more than one life to develop and reach our spiritual goals is what many think about. It is easy to embrace reincarnation when you simply start thinking about the shortness and brevity of life. The first 10 years, you go through latency and development. Our teen years are an utter drama. Our 20's are pressurized energy filled years of experience seeking and experience gaining. Some of it very negative. The 30s are the last time we get to feel young, but we already talk about getting old. Then the rest is unfolding drama and the life we live. Its just short that's all. Everybody knows that. We all have this inner sense that divine development must consist of more than just getting through our decades in JUST ONE EXISTENCE.

Orthodoxy throws Salvation at the Feet of all of us Fallen Men. If you take damnation/salvation and what place in Heaven we end up in out of the formula, then you see mankind as recurring entities who have already been saved. They were saved when they were created aeons ago, as shards of God's light.

The SALVATION of Chrisastroism is not that we get to have our foreheads wiped by a Catholic priest just before we expire on a battlefield, our salvation has to do with the realization that our Destiny is to make it back in the Loving Arms of our Creator, much better than we were when we started. Now, THAT IS SALVATION! What we are about is gaining experience so that we can be more worthy of God's company. We are God's teenagers, and we are becoming more developed with each lifetime.

"The Bread of Shame" -

An ancient idea that is Kabbalistic, but goes deep into the pre-historic past, probably from Egypt and the Semitic Prophets who came there, is the Bread of Shame. The first time I read this concept, it felt for me like it was a perfect answer for the "Fall of Man".

To bring people up to speed, most all of Christian Orthodoxy says that the Fall of Man was the Sin of Adam and Eve. This can be brought into our doctrinal discussion as time goes on. The story gets flesh on it if we have a new religioin. The short story is that if the Adam and Eve story were told, not as two individuals, but rather as Souls looking down on Physicality, then the whole story would make a different kind of sense.

We, us nascient souls - shards of light - could not believe that in our youngness, after our initial creation, we were worthy of our immortality and magnificence. We felt the "bread of shame" because we knew we needed, not to be young latent beings, but grown up mature immortal souls. The only way for us to develop was to leave the Divine Homeland and go into Physicality. ASTROISM was the way down, and the way back up. As we pass through our many life experiences, we get to utilize the magnetic/spiritual mechanism of the stars to manifest all the different vibrations that we can possibly experience. At the end, we emerge as fully mature, textured, completely enhanced young divine creations -- far more developed than we were aeons ago.

Christastroism is just the official blending of these ideas that many many Americans already have formed in their heads. Many are New Agers, many are just Liberal Lutherans, Burgeoning Baptists, Mad Methodists and Expansive Episcopalians. I propose that millions (at least hundreds of thousands) of Americans are really Christastroists who just have not put that name on what they believe. I propose that people keep going to their churches. That's a bad idea for a religion, but a great idea for getting new converts.

So, its not really so revolutionary. Its really Super Ancient. But the name is new, and I am happy and ready to formalize it, if anyone sees this as a positive thing. Writing this far has been supremely joyful. If you enjoy my proposal or hate it, it has been transmogrifiying for me just to keyboard this Heavenly Topic. Not as controversial as one might think, but it sure could be formalized and turned into something that a new religion could provide, a sense that we are not all adrift. That's it, let's do CHRISASTROISM so we will feel less like floating people in little canoes adrift on the Vastness of Existence looking at others going into their nice buildings. That's what religion really is -- that comforting socializing with those who hold similar beliefs. Trouble is on the horizon though. There is no negative construction that we can have against other religions. Probably its doomed from the start. Everybody is on their own reincarnative past, so you can't condemn anyone. Oh well, It was fun. Hold it. It can just be a fun religion. It does not have to negatively characterize any individual.

A Potential Path -

If it can't happen, it can still be a dream of mine. If it does develop shape, then Doctrine can be the Saturnine structure of what we conclude. Venus and Jupiter can provide our grandiosity. Neptune and Pluto can make it all mysterious. Mars and Mercury can give it feet and make it all happen. Then we can focus on the CHRIST, and start a sweet benefic formal movement that gives us comfort and structure. It won't be loony emotionalism. It will be constant instruction about the Church of Daily Life. That's where all the lessons really are.
