The use of conscious intention, and in some cases unconscious intention, to wield a tangible influence upon the material world as we know it, is described as applying mind over matter through laws of attraction. It means an assertive belief that the human mind is more powerful than the matter that exists in our world. It simply does not end with a belief, but it is a process of controlling one’s thoughts in a certain pattern which results in one achieving the very goal that we set out for. This essentially means that ANYTHING is possible if we train our mind to think in a particular way, achieving body in mind activities is normally the best way of initiating any given success.

There are some principles behind this sort of tailoring of circumstances or creating a deeply desired situation. The first is that you need to be completely in control of your mind. This is also called channelizing your energies towards a particular goal. The passion that you have for something will need to be intensified so that the focus of your mind is towards that one thing. But this can be achieved only through intense concentration combined with a tranquil mind.

A tranquil mind is, in turn, achieved through meditation. Meditation is a concentration of a very intense kind. The subject of your meditation would be the thing or event that you want to create. This could be wealth, a strong personality, winsome character traits or practically anything that you desire. This is also a process where you “will” things to happen. In meditation, many thoughts come and go. The mind needs to be trained to process these thoughts in such a way, that all thoughts which does not have in it the energy to “will” a thing to happen, is instantly turned away.

Another impediment likely at this stage is a “distracting” thought – some thoughts which are far removed from your goal may suddenly intrude upon your mind. Examples of this kind of thoughts are a sudden feeling of hunger, or a sweet or bad odor which takes away your concentration. Although this is at first difficult, you can gradually bring your mind to a state where you can get your mind to focus for long periods of time on the goal that you are intending to achieve. This is done through becoming aware during your meditation that your thoughts have strayed and making efforts to draw back your thoughts to its original subject of focus.

While practicing body in mind, you must remember that there are senses in a human being which goes beyond the physical ones. In the physical world, we first see, and then we extend our hands and feel. Through the non-physical senses we are talking about, we touch and feel first and then see. This touching and feeling happens when we think or focus about something intensely. We have already brought that thing into existence with the power of our mind. Your mind over matter is what can help you to develop a charismatic personality, become a leader with a strong core and regain your lost sense of self-esteem. Putting “your mind to it” can even push away the physical or mental pain that may be eating away at you. This in a nut shell is law of attraction.
