You have chosen to book your VILLAS IN ALICANTE whose international airport is approximately eleven kilometres from Alicante town centre. This airport is considered the gateway to the Costa Blanca with a hassle free service to this area and beyond. Each year there are some eight million people that use this service with the lion’s share coming from the United Kingdom, Holland and Germany. If you hire a car it’s easy to access the new motorway A7; even though it’s a toll road it’s not that busy allowing you easy access to the coast. There’s ample parking outside the terminal just make sure on your departure you pay for your parking at one of the many cash machines before you leave in the car otherwise you won’t get out.

Alicante’s new international airport is both contemporary and due to its new addition it’s roomy. It now contains a number of floors with restaurants, cafes, bars and of course duty free shopping if you are travelling outside the EU. There are typical retailers as well where if needed you can buy a set of clothes or even a set of golf clubs; if for some reason you need to do a little food shopping there is a delicatessen or two. Additionally there are some travel companies and places offering excursions in Alicante and more.

If you are in need of some form of support you couldn’t be in a better airport. If it’s a wheelchair you need make sure to inform the airline when purchasing your ticket of your requirements. When you reach the ticket counter your needs will be seen to and the people performing this task are simply brilliant to say the least: there is little they will not do for you to make your journey just that much easier. Scattered throughout the terminals are specially installed lavatories with rails and lifts for you to access all necessary parts of the airport you might need. For your arrival or departure there are special parking places reserved for such an occasion located opposite the airport terminal.

Today the Alicante international airport is probably the largest international airport in Spain outside Madrid’s own airport. If you happen to lose your luggage not to worry as they have a service that will return your bags to you the next day. As always be sure to fill out a form letting them know where you will be staying.

To access your VILLAS IN ALICANTE from the airport there are buses running on an hourly basis starting at 7:30 am to 10:30 pm. If your destination is Murcia there is a tour bus to Murcia from Alicante international airport. If all else fails there are always the taxis: you will find a cab rank outside the airport terminal building. The cabs work in rotation so be sure and take the taxi at the front of the cue. The cost of the journey to Alicante town centre is around the 20 Euro mark. If your destination is Benidorm the fair goes up to approximately 45 Euros.
