We have a little dog by the name of Higo (Which is Spanish for Fig) we found her as a tiny thing in our front yard. So we took her to the vet and gave her all her shots and now she’s a very important part of our family.

That’s Higo Up Above Smiling (The Black One) and Our Other Dog Missy

But Higo had GI Upsets and Bermuda Grass Allergies

But Higo had a health challenge— she always had GI upsets and Bermuda grass allergies… and this went on for 4 years. I tried different diets, and finally ended up on a salmon and sweet potato and she was OK but not perfect. But every now and again she would have a flair up of her skin allergy and have a terrible upset stomach and diarrhea.

And we did not like leaving her home or at the vets at all because we never knew when she might get sick. Plus we don’t like leaving them alone for very long anyway. But we needed to do something, this was not good— so I tried a few things.

First I put her on an organic brown rice and pumpkin diet and that seemed to work well especially for healing her diarrhea. Pumpkin is great for dogs with diarrhea. And this diet worked for a while but she did not like the taste of pumpkin and sometimes would not eat her food. In fact, sometimes I would have to pick up her food in my hand and feed it to her bit by bit because she didn’t like it. So I said to myself there has to be something better, so I set out to find another diet.

By the way, organic pumpkin and pinto bean diet is amazing for healing dogs with all kinds of skin allergies, and they don't end up having gas with the beans either. And giving the dog a small vitamin once a week works well with this diet.
So next I tried adding regular store bought chicken breast to the brown rice and a little bit of chicken broth. The broth is made from cooking the chicken in a pressure cooker. Well, Higo loved this diet and would eat it all up in no time at all. But her GI upsets were still going strong and her Bermuda grass allergy was still popping up now and then— so that was not the answer.

The Big Change to All Organic

So then I decide to go all the way and bought organic chicken for Higo and added that to the organic brown rice and gave her a small vitamin once a week. I was amazed, her GI upsets and diarrhea disappeared and her Bermuda allergy disappeared— and now she has lots of energy and she’s happier.

It goes to show that all those terrible hormones and chemicals in our food creates havoc with our pets. So treat your dog to organic food and you might see some dramatic changes happen. Try my organic brown rice and chicken diet for your dogs— it might make all the difference in the world.
