Deciding: It’s your Decision

Making decisions are a part of everyone’s life. This is the right you have to your autonomy, well being and pursuit of happiness. They may be the smallest of small ones or the largest of large ones; nevertheless, they may all impact you on many levels. When faced with the spectrum of life’s significant decision-making tasks, more than mere fact-finding will be necessary. In order to know that you are making the very best decision, it is paramount to align with the truth of your heart, mind- body and spirit. It is that invisible place inside of you that speaks its true voice without even a word. It resides within your whole sense of self and discreetly guides you as you seek your right answer.
In fact, all of the connectedness within the universe is working with you as it unfolds such magical wisdom in so many intricate ways.

When you stop to take notice of what’s happening around you, you will see signs noted all along the way. You will find gems in what people in stores are saying, billboard pictures and whatever music may be playing are all poignant messages that may seem to pop out just about everywhere. Though they may seem to be random, they have something important they are needing to share. These are the opportune messages that tap into the wellspring of spiritual knowing. They are intended to help you find your self-determination with how you may move forward. Have no fear, as you get ready to prepare by activating your courage and a willingness to dare.

Sometimes decisions are so clear and simple and we know exactly what we want to do. On the other hand, we may not always feel this sense of readiness for life change and resistance may surface and shade our view. It is oftentimes fascinating to ponder that what seems to be needed is kept as a sacred secret until we learn the skills to navigate through the maze on our own. Whatever that secret may be, it can be discovered through reflection, journaling, visualization and meditation amidst an open space in time. While allowing this open space to emerge, it may be experienced as a vast uncertainty which may be a bit scary, though as you become more ready to receive information it proves to be quite valuable to you. The old proverb “When the student is ready, the teacher appears.” is very meaningful. We have all been students as we schooled through our growing years. We all have memories of both joy and also of some tears. It’s not always easy to master it all. We all have our strengths and then of course we must fall. When you take that fall, it’s an eye-opening thing, to see that when you stand up, you must actually crawl. This is the cycle of life, the beginning and the end in full circle. We all began our lives as helpless infants and then in old age often will return to that very state. If we can decide to accept each stage of life with awareness, then we can decide to accept ourselves for where we are.

We have a choice to live our life by design or default. There’s no need to struggle, attack or assault. It is up to each of us to hold that vision of goodness and not succumb to fear, doubt or list of “shoulds”. By listening to your inner dialogue, you will be able to hear what you say to yourself. You have the opportunity to re-evaluate your values and stay accountable to the essence of who you are. This is yourself. There is a common misconception that Self Love selfish. It is not, it is Self Care. For it is only when you decide to take good care of yourself can you then prudently make decisions in all of the many regards. As you make those decisions you may then want to ask, “Is this helpful to me and will I be able to give back to those people and causes that call to me?”. As each of us comes fully into our unique selfhood, it is only natural to want to help others find their way too. It is all part of the decision to strive towards a healthy happy life and feeling of connection. Once you find this treasure inside yourself, you can share it with others. It is the gift of giving from all of yourself.
