The principle of gratitude plays a massive role in one’s own quality of life.

An often overlooked and misunderstood concept, true authentic gratitude which arises out of one’s own genuine joy of being is a skeleton key which unlocks large-scale synchronicity and reality shifting experiences.

Simply put: if you have an interest in synchronicity and the intention/manifestation model as it’s applied to personal growth – this article is for you.

“Levels” of Gratitude: Your Personal Limit

Gratitude, in its broadest sense, is akin to being deeply thankful for everything in your life.

Just like consciousness, gratitude has many different levels.

Lower-level gratitude includes things like being thankful for your house, your car, your cabinets being full, etc.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this.

The only thing that’s “wrong” about the lower levels of gratitude is that they’re not as optimal for experiential purposes as are the higher levels.

Higher-level gratitude creates the presence of more synchronicity in your life, as well.

If your entire mode of being, happiness, and reality is conditional on your car running and your cabinets being full – then your reality is very unstable, and the exact opposite of unconditional.

If you’re truly unconditional, you could lose everything you have right now and see no issue with starting over, because the journey and “playing the game” of life is in itself a reward.

The above might sound very counterintuitive, but this is literally the attitude that generates abundance across all levels of experience.

This is because the highest form of gratitude isn’t for the material goods you acquire – it’s for the fact that you exist, and get to play and grow. Nothing more. Everything else that happens is an added bonus.

If you have more gratitude on this level, you’re consequently less “tethered” to circumstances needing to be a certain way/maintained before you “allow” yourself to act.

You behave unconditionally; your actions do not depend on 5,734 little things all needing to be “just right” before you can step up to bat.

Those things will never be lined up just right, and your true self knows this.

That’s nothing more than a convenient little excuse to avoid taking action.

Because of this, having gratitude not only “frees you up” to become engaged in more action, but it also creates the necessary “vibe” to begin attracting all sorts of crazy synchronistic events into your reality.

Your attitude changes your reality, because your reality is comprised of the results you experience. Your mood inspires you to change your actions. Different attitude = different actions = different results.

By becoming thankful for what you already have, you’ll begin interacting with your environment in an entirely different way.

This new way is precisely what unlocks both super-conscious (appearing out of nowhere at the perfect time) and general daily synchronicity (your day just flowing perfectly).

What’s Actually Happening

On the quantum mechanical level, everything is frequency and vibration.

Atoms themselves are merely particles which are vibrating at a certain frequency.

All matter (and consequently our entire physical reality) is all on one frequency, hence why we experience, interact with, and observe it as such.

However, like a radio, you can change your frequency via “shifting vibes”, or “changing the station/channel.”

You can only attract and experience the things which are on your current radio station. Therefore, it would be wise to become progressively more conscious of what station you’re currently inhabiting.

Gratitude, especially in its most genuine form, has a vibratory signature that’s very close to unconditional love.

Because of this, it “attracts” experiences which “resonate” within its particular frequency.

The reason you experience more synchronistic events when you occupy even a lower-level stage of happiness, is because you’re experiencing temporary congruency with values that you genuinely harbor.

If this were not so, you wouldn’t be experiencing genuine happiness.

It’s like a portion of yourself that you keep locked away that finally has “permission” to breath, and you thus experience reality via its most optimal function.

This is through the attraction of experiences via your genuine values, all there to empower you toward increasing your present level of being, and thus reinforcing this entire function.

This is how you’re actually supposed to be living.

You’ve always had the keys to your own happiness. You’ve just been conditioned to forget that you have the keys, so you assume you must search for them “out there”.

Conditioning is not only a trap, it’s also a misdirect, and in a way a red herring fallacy.

You Can’t “Cheat” The Universe

At this point, it’s also important to mention that you can never, ever “cheat” or “fool” the universe by attempting to temporarily adopt a particular vibration unauthentically.

People (attempt to) do this all the time, and the results typically involve a hilarious “bitch slap” from the universe.

You cannot mirror the external qualities of someone who’s generating abundance in their life and expect the same results. This is because you’re not authentically broadcasting the same exact combinations of frequencies that they are. They are them, and you are you.

This is analogous to wanting to emulate the construction of a house, and starting with the shingles. You have no foundation; everything is unstable and relative to variables that you’re not taking into account.

In cases like the above, you’re not genuinely grateful; you’re thinking about “how much grateful” you have to “apply” in order to “milk” reality of synchronistic experiences.

This is precisely what a good 90% of Law of Attraction subscribers do, and this is also why the LoA gets such a bad wrap.

Again, we’re shown over and over that only authenticity of being “activates” the progress-driven elements of the universe in which we are embedded.

Synchronicity is awarded to those who don’t sit around waiting for synchronicity to appear before they get stared.

In order to start increasing the presence of beneficial synchronicity in your life, it’s imperative to begin understanding what constitutes authentic gratitude.

What is Gratitude?

Gratitude is the deepest, most sincere form of being thankful.

In its purest form, gratitude will fill you with just as much wonder and excitement as it does thanks.

If you’re not overly ecstatic about your current life conditions, then it’s very hard to remain grateful.

It actually becomes a self-sabotaging chore to convince yourself that you should be grateful for something you could care less about. This article is for those who identify with the last statement.

The root of all of this is as follows:

If you’re not extremely grateful for what you’ve already got (what you’re already “attracting” and “receiving”), what makes you think this same vibe is going to attract different experiences?

Would you keep giving candy to a kid who doesn’t say thank you, or even enjoys the candy you’ve already given him?

Would you care for a kid who abuses his freedoms by poisoning himself because he feels that “life is unfair”, and he’ll “never have enough candy to be happy”?

How would you deal with such an attitude? Do you see where this simplified example is going?

Now, we all know that this was just an example – but how can you be thankful for circumstances that are less than optimal in relation to your actual goals, aspirations, and desires?

The answer lies in becoming progressively more conscious of the differences between authentic and conditioned gratitude.

Gratitude: Authenticity v.s. Conditioning

We’re not going to waste any time with things that don’t matter here; the “values” with which we’re conditioned to adopt and accept (unconsciously) are analogous to low-hanging fruit on an already wilting tree.

These programmed values are unsustainable – and your true self knows this.

We’re told that we’re lucky to have “things” like houses, cars, and televisions that take up entire walls. While it’s good to be grateful for the things which keep us safe and entertained, some people never, ever experience true unconditional gratitude.

Simply observe the average consumer to see that this is true.

Their level of happiness and gratitude depends entirely upon their ability to acquire more and more material toys and gadgets. Notice how they have an almost endless appetite for doing so. Their happiness is conditional on external things being in order.

When your level of “thanks” is entirely conditional on your ability to secure material means, then your level of gratitude will likewise be conditional.

It will depend on certain things external to you being in order; you’re setting up a precondition for failure by making your mood and attitude dependent on external things that very well could go either way.

This is neither intelligent nor sustainable in the long run.

It’s the equivalent of playing emotional-response-roulette with yourself.

What you’re doing here is creating a subconscious minimum threshold, whereby you arbitrarily adopt a set of beliefs that has you feeling like you can’t be safe, entertained, or happy until X, Y, and Z are all in place.

When X, Y, and Z aren’t lined up perfectly (as they’ll most often never be), your motivation and gratitude will wax and wane like the coming and going of the tide.

However, when you strive beyond your basic needs, and consciously embrace the sheer wonder and excitement of the values already present within you (separate and independent of your conditioning) – you allow magic to happen.

Learning to allow is one of the greatest lessons people come to realize when they start dismantling and dissolving the poisons of Western mental conditioning.

Do you force the plants in your garden to grow? No. You give them what they need, and then you allow them to flourish.

Personal Motivation = Achieving Congruency

If you live a circular life of working and consuming, then your level of personal motivation is probably pretty low.

At best, you’ll experience gratitude via the small number of ways you can enjoy spending your free time when not on someone else’s watch. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this if said lifestyle makes you genuinely happy.

However, if you’re living said lifestyle and you aren’t completely thrilled, I’d be willing to bet you’re allowing your conditioning to infect and override your true authentic values.

As a result, you experience incongruency in various ways throughout the different areas of your life.

You’ll notice that such people have very little motivation to take action, because their entire world is tethered to variables outside of their control.

They have very little reason to feel excited about life, because what little joy they are able to extract is temporary at best and self-destructive (escapism) at worst.

The individual always chooses their own path – no matter how much they deny this, insist life is random, and/or claim it’s simply a matter of practicality/survival.

Obviously survival is very important – but there’s no rule saying you have to choose the most disempowering, least-interesting, most self-limiting model for procuring it.

This is not a sustainable path, yet millions of people reinforce this lifestyle as being “successful”. Nothing is more a failure than a man who is deemed successful by his peers, yet remains as empty and unfulfilled as he was twenty years prior.

The real secret to keeping your motivation for action high lies in:

Becoming progressively more conscious of your true, authentic values (the one’s that you didn’t need to be told that you have to exhibit).
Striving to make your life more congruent with said authentic values.
If you’re an artist, yet you adopt an office job because everyone’s telling you to “get a job” before you can focus on your artwork – what are you actively doing?

You’re allowing conditioning to override your true values, and you’ll experience all kinds of inner turmoil as a result.

I’ve self-sabotaged myself via these types of situations dozens of times over; you think it’s just the job or the people, but it’s YOU. It’s always YOU.

You literally have no business anywhere doing any work that does not genuinely inspire you.

This is because until you do so, you’ll be more focused and obsessed with simply acquiring money as a means to an end, rather than enjoying the fact that you get to provide value to people in a manner that not only benefits them - but is a congruent expression of who you actually are as an individual.

There’s someone else who will be much better at the job you hate to do.

You belong somewhere else, applying your genuine values in a way that lets YOU do a better job of expressing your unique skills and strengths.

Conclusion

As with most “higher” principles, gratitude is often misplaced, misapplied, then thrown out with the bathwater.

People who display gratitude are even sometimes viewed as “weak” or “spiritually dependent”.

Notice how all of these negative objections almost always originate from people and groups who behave and perpetuate unauthentic action.

Almost everyone who gives you a hard time or experiences a bad mood is experiencing incongruency with themselves on some level.

It may not be as severe as dealing with authentic gratitude, but the same principle of authenticity still applies to things like relationships and social lives.

Eventually, you reach a point where gratitude teaches you so much about being unconditional in your approach to life, that you start to see everything as relative.

Suddenly, life isn’t compartmentalized into neat little categories. You find yourself becoming genuinely interested in improving the other areas of your life by aligning with your authentic values. Life then transforms from a maze of illusions into an open playground for self-exploration and growth.

While everyone’s busy fishing in the wrong pond with the wrong bait (because someone told them that’s what they should be doing), you’ll be climbing higher and higher on the ladder of direct personal experience fueled by genuine unconditional love, gratitude, and acceptance for yourself, your fellow human, and the universe as a whole.

I trust that said path will yield far more happiness and fulfillment for you.
