Guru Purnima also spelled as Guru Poornima is celebrated in the month of Ashadha (July-August). The Grace of God will reign fully on July and August during the Full Moon of the Guru, known as Guru Purnima. The Greatness of Guru

The word 'Guru' means remover of darkness (In Sanskrit, “Gu” means darkness, “Ru” means remover). Traditionally, the Guru is considered as an embodiment of the Hindu Trinity Gods namely Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. Thus, Guru Purnima is the day of eradicating ignorance and illuminating our lives with knowledge.

July and August is the most auspicious Full Moon of the year to pay one’s respect and reconnect to God or the Guru.
