Itching refers to a skin irritation. The persons who suffer from itching feel a yearning need to scratch the irritated area. Itching is a very common disease and all of as confronted to it at some point of our life. It is not a severe problem but a problem might appear because scratching the itching area the skin can become score and bruised.

There are many factors that can lead to itching. One of the main causes of itching is dry skin. Others causes are connected to the contact with sunburn, chemicals, overexposure to water, cold weather, insect stings and bites and hot baths. Itching can be limited to a certain area or it can be generalized but in both cases it can appear in all areas of our body.

The yearning wish to scratch the irritated skin is the itching symptom. Itching can be very easy treated with natural remedies.

Put 2 cups of oatmeal in the tub and fill it with lukewarm water. Have a bath in this water and you will get rid of itching. If the irritation reappears repeat the treatment.

Cornstarch is very useful when it comes about itching. Use it to dust the scratching area. You can use cornstarch in the bath water, too. Pour some cornstarch in the water before having a bath.

Apple cider vinegar is also a very useful natural remedy for itching. Add two tablespoons of this vinegar in the bath water and you will be offered a great relief immediately.

Cold compresses applied on the affected area give a great relief, too.

Nettle oil is another excellent remedy for itching. Apply some fresh and stinging nettle oil on the itching years. You can also drink some nettle tea every day. You can prepare the tea adding one teaspoon of dry nettle leaves in boiling water. Allow the tea to steep about 15 minutes and then have it.

Chickweed is another beneficial natural remedy used in treating itching. Take two handfuls of chickweed and soak them in hot water. After the plants have softened, let the liquid cool and then apply it on the scratching area.

Lukewarm water bathes are also of a great help in relief itching. Vitamin E, Vitamin C, zinc and beta-carotene are of a great help in itching problems. A diet rich in these vitamins is recommended for the persons that suffer from itching.

Cinnamon powder and honey are other great treatments for the problems caused by itching. Take equal parts of cinnamon powder and honey and mix them with water until you get a paste. Apply the remedy on the itching area.

Add a cup of white vinegar in the bath water and soak your body in water for 10-15 minutes. The itching will disappear immediately. Mix some coconut oil with lime juice to obtain a paste. This past is applied on the affected areas to treat itching.

You can also use a paste prepared from baking soda and water. Neem leaves have also proved to be a very beneficial remedy in treating itching. Take some neem leaves and boil them in water. You will obtain oil you can apply on the irritated skin.
