The core aspect of spirituality is to realise really, ‘who am I?’ So, to attain Self-Realization is the ideal way to start our spiritual journey.
The Soul is the Self, we ought to realize this Self
The Soul is made up of infinite knowledge and infinite vision, but it is currently covered with veils of ignorance.
Owing to ignorance, we mistakenly believe the body or the name given to this body to be our Self, ‘I am this body and name.’ But when we attain Self-Realisation, we realize that ‘I am a pure Soul.’

Upon Self-Realisation, we attain the awareness of the Self, which is an abode of infinite bliss. We understand that we are really a pure Soul, totally separate from the body and the name and all that it entails.

Nevertheless, we cannot realize the Self on our own; we need an Enlightened One who can enlighten our Soul
For example, suppose we are tied to a wall very tightly from top to bottom with a very strong rope. And placed right besides us on the table, we can see a pair of scissors, a sharp knife, blade, etc. too, which can easily cut the rope. So can we manage to get ourselves free with the help of these tools? No! No matter how hard we try, we will not be able to move even an inch, here or there. We require someone externally who is capable of cutting this strong rope. Once that happens, we, with the help of this person who came to our rescue, can persevere and free our self from the entire bind, isn’t it?

Similarly, here too, we require someone capable, who has the power to cut the strong bind of ignorance of the Self that we are tied up with for infinite lives, and free us once. Such a person is called Gnani, the Enlightened One, who has the divine spiritual powers to cut through the layers of ignorance and give us freedom by gracing one with Self-Realization!!! Thereafter, following His instructions, we can attain ultimate liberation!

Today, through Akram Vignan, we can attain Self-Realization in a matter of two hours only through such Gnani, who with his divine spiritual powers, directly gives us the experiential knowledge of the Self.

When an Enlightened One enlightens our Soul, the darkness of ignorance dispels
With the grace of Gnani, the Enlightened One, the direct light of the Soul (pragna) starts. Through this direct light, we are able to experience our Soul.

The Enlightened One explains how:
Say, there is pitch darkness in your home. How will you feel? You will have clashes with chair, table, etc. And what will happen if you have full light in your room?
If you have full light, there will not be any clash, there will not be any suffering, there will not be any worries, no doubts, no stress! With full light, you feel happiness and your close relatives also will feel happiness. This is what we experience in the light of the Soul.
And until you happen to meet the Enlightened One and attain Self-Realization,…

You may begin with the following, which will not only help jumpstart your spiritual journey rightaway, but also build a strong foundation that will go a long way in helping you progress smoothly in your spiritual journey.
At the foundation of the progress in our spiritual journey, lies our intention of not hurting any living being, for there is God (Soul) residing in every living being. So every morning, we shall heartily pray to God that: ‘May no living being be caused the slightest hurt through any of my thoughts, words or actions.’ We will say this at least five times every day!

And in case anyone gets hurt by us, knowingly or unknowingly, we shall do pratikraman, which means we shall pray to God, “Dear God! I hurt this person in such and such manner. Please forgive me for this mistake of mine. And grant me strength so that I do not repeat this mistake ever again.”

Inspite of this prayer, mistakes may continue to happen. But we too will continue with our pratikraman every time, until the mistake continues. Whenever we do such pratikraman for some mistake heartily, that mistake gets washed and cleared. As our mistakes reduce, we make better progress towards our spiritual goal.

Author's Bio:

Ambalal M. Patel was a civil contractor by profession. In June 1958, spontaneous Self-Realization occurred within Ambalal M. Patel. From this point on, Ambalal became a Gnani Purush, and the Lord that manifest within him became known as Dada Bhagwan.
