"I have learned silence from the talkative; tolerance from the intolerant and kindness from the unkind. I should not be ungrateful to those teachers." - Kahlil Gibran

According to the Law of Attraction, we magnetize and attract to ourselves whatever we focus on. Like attracts like, birds of a feather flock together, etc. When you apply this basic principle of the Law of Attraction to relationships, it becomes clear that the wisest course you can follow is to live and let live. How glorious it is to live your life as you see fit and let others do the same. This simple idea goes a long way toward eliminating relationship problems. (Who knows, it may even be the answer to world peace!)

You are never free if your happiness, your vibrational status, depends on someone else's behavior. As you become certain that your happiness depends on you and you alone, you become extremely attractive to others. Your vibration issues an invitation - "You can come and play with me. I don't need you to behave in a certain way for me." When you quit holding others responsible for the way you feel, your relationships will improve dramatically.

We are often the most critical of those closest to us because we expect our significant others to make us feel a certain way. Are you ready to let go of these impossible expectations? Are you ready to relieve your loved ones of that pressure? Remind yourself that the way you feel is your responsibility. When you are in control of how you feel, you don't need others to change in order for you to feel better. Decide to look for what you DO like about your family and friends rather than giving in to the habit of noticing things you DON'T like. Look for what's right rather than what's wrong.

Birds of a feather, right? You attract relationships with people who match your vibration. You are always calling to and attracting birds of the same vibrational feather. Look at the birds in your flock. Do they uplift you? Are they closer to empowered or powerless? Do they prefer to praise or complain? You can learn a lot about the state of your own vibration by looking at the people in your life.

If you are less than impressed with some of your acquaintances, the answer is not to chase them away or try to reform them. Accept that the people in your environment are a mirror of your own life. Then have fun watching your relationships change as you raise your vibration. As you raise your vibration, either the other birds will be influenced by you and raise their vibration as well or they will fly away. As you change, your relationships will change. As you take responsibility for your own vibration, you allow others to take responsibility for their vibration. What a great philosophy - Live and let live!
