Lukla to Everest Base Camp Trek

Lukla to Everest base camp trek is an ideal trekking itinerary for the Everest base camp trekkers. It is a 12 days base camp journey from Kathmandu to Kathmandu. It takes eight days to reach the base camp from Kathmandu, including two rest days for altitude practice on the way up. Lukla Everest base camp trek is also known as Everest base camp Kala Patthar trek. There is a big hill ( Kala Patthar), from where you can see a stunning mountain view of the Everest Himalayan range.

The trekking itinerary begins with a short adventurous scenic mountain flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. Then it goes higher to the base camp, passing several beautiful Sherpa towns. All the trekking trails of the Everest base camp trip go through the Sagarmatha national park.

Everest base camp trek is a lodge basis trek, so there are plenty of guesthouses for the night stay. You can get luxury accommodations in some places, but they are quite expensive than regular lodges. You can have food from a food menu in the place where you stay. Also, they sell mineral water everywhere, but the cost goes high with gaining altitude. Either you can drink tap water using purification tablets or sterilizer.
