Releasing - A strange yet effortless way of getting what you want

Have you ever wanted something to happen so intensely that you can't think of anything else?

Have you ever wanted to control your thoughts in a particular direction so strongly that you keep thinking of its opposite? It's like... "don't have negative thoughts, I must not have negative thoughts" and all the while your mind is focused on the negative?

Welcome to a new concept. The art of releasing. It is a totally strange concept to me when I first found out about it. But with this concept, just as an example, one night, I was able to win more than $250 in 20 minutes at the blackjack table at the casino while applying this concept in my head. What did I do differently in my consciousness that made me win, and yet before I found out this method, I couldn't win even $50 the week before?

Forgive me for saying this, but the game of gambling is purely a game of consciousness. Have you notice that usually the dealer has exceptional luck? Blackjack 18, 19, 20, 21? Because they are not obsessed with the need to win, they are not playing with their money! They are not in a consciousness of lack and uncertainty. And why do they change dealers on the table every few games? Just in case that dealer is in a bad emotional state, he needs a rest to pick his mental calmness back! And just in case the people on that table are having a streak of great luck, a change in dealer is the casino's way of breaking that lucky streak! And whenever I am playing, I always quit when I start to get mentally tired or stirred up (from the music and noises). Don't play when you are mentally or emotionally tired, when you find it is starting to get harder to become calm in controlling your thoughts.

Have you ever found that the people who win in games of life and casino are the people who don't really care if they win or not? Have you notice what states of desperation and clinging does to your consciousness? Why is it that when you want something desperately the most, that you can't find it, but when you let it go and let it be, you actually get it?

I will tell you what I think. If you think in terms of consciousness, we know that consciousness of abundance attracts more abundance. Consciousness of happiness attracts happiness. And consciousness of lack creates lack, and even takes away what they used to have! It is the principle that the rich gets richer, and the poor gets poorer. It is all a matter of consciousness. And think about this, when you are desperately wanting and needing something to happen, what is the presupposition about your consciousness? Neediness implies lack. Want implies that you have not. A beggar is needy, but a king never feels needy.

If you are finding that your thoughts are hard to control, and as if your thoughts go on the opposite that you want it to go, there is one thing that you can be sure of, you are placing too much need to think positive that it creates a resistance to think positive.

What can we do? First, we go back to the Global Belief principle which I stated in my book "Creating Your Personal Reality". We start to realize that there is no lack but abundance of supply, no loss but an everlasting supply, and no competition but right supply. You fix up your negative beliefs by ripping the main root out. Without the roots, there will be no plant nor leaves.

Then, once we establish a right base, we release whatever want and need that we have. Say to your self, "I completely let go of all need and all sense of want to be/have/achieve/win etc". And you will start to feel a sense of release slightly. Repeat it a few more times and it will slowly release even more. The more you release, the more you start to allow yourself to win.

Over the years, it really amazes me how every time I get a result from affirmation or visualisation, it happens effortlessly after I start releasing the need. I still know what outcome I am aiming for, but I let go of that sense of desperation, that worry.

The subconscious does its work best when the conscious mind is not there running around with its logic and questions.

Another best way to release? Completely forget about what you want, let it go completely from your mind, and go do something else to distract yourself as if you don't give a heck anymore. One caveat: be careful not to install any negative thoughts while you do this.
