Over the past article I wrote here at Truly Rich Club, I mention concerning how to build relationships and people skills. Now, understanding emotional investment is a vital part of building relationships that could aid in your search for success.

Emotional bank account is divided into two: The emotional deposits and the withdrawals. Emotional deposits means knowing the person, being kind and forgiving, and being true to your word. Emotional withdrawal alternatively is the opposite of everything I pointed out; being disrespectful, rude and hold grudges, and no commitment at all.
The very best ways to understand emotional deposits thus far had been well explained by Stephen Covey, stating the following major ways. Allow me to explain it to you the way I learn how.

1. Understanding the Person
In my previous article I talked about empathizing, and that is putting one’s self on someone else’s shoe for you to feel and understand their situation. Sincerely we step back a little and attempt to set aside our beliefs and point of views. Listening with a heart so you can grasp what they are expressing. Some people enjoy it very much if they have somebody whom they can trust. So guard that trust.

2. Keeping your Commitments
In any respect and every way, keep your word. In case you have promised something, ensure that not to break it. In case you have committed a specific time, make sure to be there. If you don't make it, make sure you call. It is important to respect each other’s’ time as well. Better not commit if you're unsure. It will eventually lower the expectations. Live with honor where your word is the most essential thing to you. It builds respect.

3. Clarifying Expectations

If it’s not clear, clarify. In a relationship, if circumstances are not going well, maybe there’s a miscommunication. If the project didn't end up what is expected, most likely the instruction hasn't been clear. Understanding an individual is understanding what he specifically wanted from you. It could be unfair if you keep on assuming. If you aren't sure, enlighten yourself by asking.

4. Little Things Matter

Be keen to details. Small things matter and usually they mean the most. Giving attention to those who are less appreciated, people who find themselves usually left alone, will boost their ego. It gives them a sense of importance in this world which matters a lot. A simple smile, a pat at the back or a kind word will mean hope for them.

5. Personal Integrity

Relationships are generally developed on honesty and trust. Live with honor. If you're true to yourself, people can easily trust you. If you committed to get to a meeting at a specific time, then make certain that you will honor your word.People admire someone whose words they're able to rely on.

6. Sincerely Apologize

Saying sorry isn't degrading to anyone. It doesn’t signify that you lost the battle. This means that you just learned your lesson and ready to accept the process. In a relationship, apologizing sincerely is the kindest word anyone with a wounded heart could ever receive.
In case you have enough emotional investments with a person, they would not mind you committing a simple mistake or even granting your request. They would even grant a favor. Truly Rich Club would say, “enough deposit would mean enough withdrawals”.
