I offer spiritual counseling and healing services. Our spirit is at the basis of who we are, what we think and how we act in the world, so spiritual counseling and healing will address all areas of your life. 

The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is an easy and elegant technique that I use frequently in my practice. It's so easy that I can teach it to you so you can continue to use it for anything that comes up in your life. It's terrific. Within a session I also offer energy balancing & healing. I can do sessions in person or by phone. this in person or long distance. I also teach a 10-month course in energy healing for beginning and intermediate level practitioners (see my website for information).  

I am an ordained Spiritual Minister through the Order of the Ascended Rose and a former apprentice of Madre Sarita who was a Toltec curandera. In addition to my private practice I offer my volunteer services in the community. I am a member of the San Diego Reiki Corps, providing Reiki on the oncology floor at Sharp Memorial Hospital and I serve on the healing clinic team of Shakti Rising, a transformational center for young women. 

The arts have played an important part in my life, too. I enjoy working in print media, videography and photography. My service to the field is varied. I am a former performance curator for the Centro Cultural de la Raza; former executive director of the San Diego Dance Alliance; former Board Chair of the American Festival Project, and have served on several other Boards. I earned my M.A. in Counseling Education from San Diego State University and my M.F.A. from UC San Diego (film/performance studies). In 2000, I was awarded a two-year artist fellowship through UC MEXUS at UC Riverside. That was a phenomenal gift! The arts are as much a part of my healing practice as anything else I do -- making art is a great way to create insight and change in one's life.

I am currently producing a film about the first retreat led by Thich Nhat Hanh for people of color (2004) and am in progress on a book Insight and Joy: Stories of Intuition (working title).
