What is meditation? Basicly, it is a quieting of the mind to ground the body. Meditation can help us to handle things in a more rational, calmer way. It can also help us to focus better on the world and issues around us thus helping us to make better choices.

You are reading this and thinking " I want to meditate but I just don't have the time"
That is understandable. Between work, children, other family members, after school functions, and the little things that pop up during the day its hard to find time for yourself.

Here is a simple meditation that you can do with your morning shower that can help you through out your day.
Try to get the shower water as warm as you can stand it.Allow the water to run down your entire body. Stand with your back to the shower spray and feel the water beating warmly on your shoulders. Close your eyes and visualize all the stress' in your life washing down the drain. The children who are fighting, the bills that are due, the boss who doesnt seem to notice you,the over barring mother in-law,all are sliding off you and washing down the drain. while the water is washing over you feel the calmness around you and visualize your self standing at a peaceful place. For me I see the ocean. The deep blue sky, wind blowing through my hair while the majestic sound of the waves rolling in a out. Stay in this place as long as you wish or have time to. when you come out of this meditation you will feel a lot calmer. Follow up your shower by rubbing your body with lavender scented lotion or even baby lotion for continued relaxation . ( Note buying the small travel bottles of baby lotion and using them at work or on the go can give you a relaxing refresher any time of day especially when used on hands and face.)
