If you have been suffering with any type of chronic pain or disease, are emotionally drained, physically worn out, can’t give any more type of feeling [for example] then help is on the way. If you truly desire to tap in to your full health potential – there are a number of things you can do to begin the immediate healing process with long-lasting results.

You Have Healing Powers
It’s simply not true that the gift of healing belongs only to certain people – or that you have to travel to the far reaches of the world to find a healer or drink a certain type of water, or that spiritual healing is a type of voo-doo magic or only based on superstition! You actually have healing powers inside of you. All you need to do is tap into your own wellness resource and use it – and best of all it’s free. A lot of people believe that healing is reliant on some outside source such as sitting on a couch listening to a psychiatrist solve their problems or running to their doctor for medications for stress, anxiety, depression or pain. Unfortunately, relying on medications only delays the healing process. Whatever issues you have will only be suppressed with unnecessary medications. Unless the psychiatrist gets at the core issues , this is not going to be very effective in the long run. When you go off medications, then there will be mighty heck to pay, because the issue will still be there. Why? Because you have blocked and suppressed the pain or issue - and it can and will come back with a mightier vengeance. Most people have not yet learned the healing secret of the ages – that health is basically an inside job, mentally as well as physically. It does not matter how successful a treatment may be in time of illness, a person often becomes sick again because they have not gotten to the root of their illness. It is the root cause of any illness or disease that needs to be dissected and analyzed. Only then will you get onto the path of true healing. If you take the word disease and dissect it – dis-ease, it merely means that your body is at dis-ease with itself. When ill thoughts build up in your mind constrict your own life force which in turn, will cause dis – ease within your own body.

Pained Thinking
One of the secret teachings of the ancient Egyptians was that a pained body was the result of pained thinking. Hippocrates once said "Men ought to know that from the brain only arise our pleasures, laughter, and jests, as well as our sorrows, pains, griefs and fears."

As a Man Thinketh
James Allen also said: "Disease and health, like circumstances, are rooted in thought. Sickly thoughts will express themselves through a sickly body. Thoughts of fear have been known to kill a man as speedily as a bullet, and they are continually killing thousands of people just as surely though less rapidly. The people who live in fear of disease are the people who get it. Anxiety quickly demoralizes the whole body, and lays it open to the entrance of disease; while impure thoughts, even if not physically indulged, will soon shatter the nervous system"

Use your mind as a tool
I believe that a good first place to start is to use your own mind as a tool for healing. Your mind can be used in any way you wish, but when you use it as a habit to stay stuck in disease and illness, you have trained your mind into this way of thinking. Habits can be changed if you want them to be changed or at least be open to the possibility of changing habits. The mind is actually one of the most under utilized self-help tools that is available 24/7.

Author's Bio:

I am a Holistic Wellness coach with certifications in aromatherapy, reflexology and acupressure and am a California licensed esthetician. I have been working with clients and training students for almost 20 years using these techniques for wellness. In my practice as a wellness coach, I draw on my extensive holistic experience and training and believe that people can empower themselves to stay healthy or regain their health through holistic self-help techniques and also by using the mind as a tool to self-heal. I believe that the way one thinks in relationship to health and wellness really affects the outcome.

As an Aromatherapist, I received my training and certification from Dr. Kurt Schnaubelt, of The Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy in 1999, though my studies and practice of this art began in 1989. Essential oils and essential oil therapy is a very powerful holistic wellness modality which I incorporate quite frequently in my work. These little gem elixers have the ability to heal the body physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I have been fortunate to have witnessed many profound transformations on my clients as well as myself over 20 years. In this field, I have also studied under John Steele, Aromatic Consultant and Archaeologist, and Aromatherapist and author Shirley Price from England. I also follow and study the spiritual teachings of Louise Hay, Gregg Braden, Deepak Chopra, Maryann Williamson, Catherine Ponder, Course of Miracles, Joseph Campbell, Dr. Wayne Dyer, and Krisnamurti.

My philosophy is that true health is the way one approaches life in mind, body and spirit.
