It can appear as though the people in power are there to look out for their fellow human beings; nothing more; nothing less. Or, to be more accurate, the people who appear to be in power.

The reason for this is that the people who are actually running the show rarely show their face (and even then, the average person wouldn’t know who they are), and the ones that do have very little power in comparison. These people are often nothing more than pawns.

A Big Crack Down

But with that aside, there are a number of things have come to fruition to ‘protect’ people. For example, there was a time when people were able to express their views on social media, but now this has all changed.

It has been said that the reason for this is that this was something that was causing people to be offended. Therefore, what could and what couldn’t be said on these platforms had to be changed.

Hidden

There is even a social media platform out there that will hide certain comments that ‘may contain offensive content’. It is then going to up to people to decide whether or not they view these comments.

After seeing a warning like this, it could cause someone to experience anxiety, and to worry about what is on the other side, so to speak. Then again, reading something like this could trigger their curiosity and make them look.

The Education System

When it comes to the real world, there are educational institutions that have also cracked down on speech that is offensive. Additionally, there will be speech that is classed as ‘hate speech’.

Now, certain people will feel as though they are walking around on egg shells, but it will be for the greater good. Through keeping their offensive views to themselves, it will be possible for their fellow students to feel safe and to learn.

A Right

And if someone has paid a hell of a lot of money to study at a university, for instance, they will deserve to be somewhere where they can relax. If they were in a hostile environment, this wouldn’t take place.

Ultimately, everyone on campus will have to be very careful not only of what comes out of their mouth, but also what they think about. As if they allow certain things to enter their mind, they might end up saying them.

A Thought Criminal

If someone was to say the wrong thing, they could soon find that their world has been turned upside down. But while this could cause them a lot of problems, it could be said that it serves them right for offending another person or a group of people.

This is something that students will be able to avoid by finding out about what is or what isn’t acceptable. To keep up to date with what they can and can’t say, they will need to pay attention to what is going on around them as this is not going to be something that is set in stone.

Back To the Virtual World

Along with what social media sites are doing to look after people, there is what a video sharing platform is doing. There are videos that have lost certain features, with these videos being seen “as inappropriate or offensive to some audiences.”

Fortunately, then, this video sharing platform is doing what it can to make sure that people are not made to feel uncomfortable. With this in mind, this site needs to be commended for the work that they are doing for humanity.

A Deeper Look

On the surface, it can seem as though these sources, as well as others, are there to make the world a better place, or to use the right term – more inclusive. Clearly, thinking about other people’s feelings is important and it goes without saying that there is to need to harm others.

However, there is a big difference between harming another person directly and another person being ‘harmed’ through what they have heard. In the first case, they will have been hurt by someone else, but in the second case, they will have been harmed by themselves.

The Death of Emotional Responsibility

The trouble is that people are being conditioned to believe that other people are in control of whether they feel offended or not, meaning that it has got nothing to do with how their mind interprets what is said. It is then as though the average person is a defenceless child, which is why they need other people to look out for them.

When these people were younger, they probably would have had a mother and a father (or just a mother) to look out for them, but now they are older the government and different corporations will watch over them. Their caregivers are likely to have actually cared about them; whereas the people behind these organisations are likely to have a completely different agenda.

One Purpose

One of the best ways to control people is keep them in a childlike state; as a result of this, they will feel powerless, dependent and emotionally weak. People like this are not going to put up any resistance or to fight back.

It is then as though these people realise that you can’t stop people from growing physically, but what you can do it stop them from being able to grow up mentally and emotionally. The last thing these people want is a planet full of people who can think for themselves and have the ability to handle their own emotions.

Conclusion

One of the of the biggest challenges with censoring information that supposedly causes offense is that it makes it harder for people to grow and to develop. Also, it has been said that the west is starting to fall behind the parts of the world that have not been affected by social justice/cultural Marxism and this not much of a surprise – not causing offence is often more important than making progress.

In many ways, it’s as though life is too easy for a lot of people in the west and, along with making them less resilient, this could be why trivial matters have taken centre stage. If western civilisation does crumble – as has been predicted, due to a number of different factors – more energy and attention is likely to be directed towards real problems.
