Having a Panic Attack is one of the scariest things you can go through. You're not in actual danger, but it feels like you're going to die. Doctors say that there are no cures for panic attacks.. But is that actually true?

Just because your doctor says there are no cures for panic attacks, doesn't mean there's nothing you can do about them.

Before I go into the details of the cures for panic attacks, I want to explain to you what a panic attack actually is.

A common panic attack starts with a fearful though. You are either aware of the thought, or not. The fearful thought lingering in your brain can suddenly cause your body to react to the thought as if it were really happening. Your body releases adrenaline and you feel your heart rate going up and your breathing getting shallower.

This reaction confuses you, because you don't have any visual or audible signs you're in danger. You fear the reaction your body has on the adrenaline and this causes your body to create more adrenaline. This pattern spirals into a full blown panic attack.

The reason your body reacts to the fearful thought as if it were actually happening, is not because you're mentally ill. Our mind simply cannot distinguish between what is real and what we imagine.

When you think about a juicy cheesburger, your mouth is filling up with saliva. When you think about a fearful situation, you feel uneasy.

All you need to do is not to think of fearful situations.

There's a problem with that..

If I tell you not to think about your mobile phone, what are you thinking about. It's impossible for you to not think of your mobile phone after I told you not to.

Now think about a motorcycle. Are you thinking about orange juice? Probably not.

Instead of trying not to think about fearful situations, think of the best case scenario. When you ask your boss for a raise, imagine shaking his hand after making a deal. When you're speaking in public, imagine the applause.

Like I said before, most of the time you're not even aware of the fearful thoughts. That's why it may take some time for the panic attacks to go away, but it's important to stick to it.

WARNING: There are a lot of products on the internet, claiming to be cures for panic attacks. Most of these are SCAMS. You should stay away from any of these products until you've read at least a couple of reviews.
