You might have seen a stage performer using hypnosis to entertain their audience, but there is more to hypnosis than parlor tricks. You might have heard how hypnosis can help you to lose weight, stop smoking, deal with pain, or have an easy childbirth. All of these things are true and yet, hypnosis can offer so much more.

Hypnosis works with your subconscious to help you change negative patterns. In doing this you can improve your health and lifestyle, but you can also improve your self-esteem and start to find your true self. Hypnosis is a powerful tool that can change your life for the better.

If you are reading this, than there is already a good chance that you are on a spiritual quest or a search for the self. Very few people who are not undertaking this self work will end up finding something of this nature. While on a spiritual search you might find yourself overwhelmed with questions. Things like, “Who am I?”, “What is this happening to me?, “Where are the answers?”. And the truth of it is that all of the answers you are looking for you already know.

Each of us holds the key to knowledge. Each of us is our own spiritual authority and each of us has our own connection to higher power. We don’t have to look any further than ourselves to get answers to spiritual quests and longing. You might not be able to believe it, but it is the truth.

The question is not what the answers are, but how can I find them. Spiritual seeking is not about the end result, but about how to get there. With hypnosis as your ally you can start to suss out a spiritual practice that will serve your highest self and make the way clear for you.

If you have ever had a ‘gut feeling’ about something or been in a position where you knew something was about to happen this is part of your intuition. The intuition is really the voice of the subconscious or higher self. Typically your talking self or conscious self is so busy filling your head with thoughts, problems, questions, distractions, grocery lists, car problems, bills, and what to make for dinner all at the same time that your subconscious can barely get a word in edgewise.

Often your subconscious will resort to other forms of communication to try and get your attention. When you have a gut reaction or a series of important dreams often this is your subconscious trying to get your attention. Through hypnosis you can open a channel to your subconscious; which will make it easier for you to hear these messages and take action on them.

Hypnosis and especially self hypnosis will give you the tools to quiet the conscious or talking self. When you are able to get this voice to fade into the background you are more likely to hear the soft spoken voice of your subconscious. The subconscious holds clues to many of your negative behavior patterns as well as the solutions to how to get past them.

With hypnosis you can work with your subconscious or higher self to stop negative behavior patterns and start living a fuller healthier life. Learning to communicate with this part of yourself can take practice, especially if you have never done it before. But the more you do it the easier it will become.

It is recommended that you start the hypnosis process with someone trained in the field. A hypnotherapist will be able to give you tips and tricks for getting into a self hypnosis state. They will guide you along in your first few sessions to make the road clear and easy to travel. Once you have a hang of the process you can start to do the sessions on your own. By opening the communication you will notice that clear and helpful messages will come to you more and more often. You will be better able to tune into these subtle message streams from your subconscious. When you are able to better hear the messages you are able to take more direct action and find your true self more quickly.
