The happiest people I have seen on this planet so far are the newly arrived children. The saddest and most unhappy ones I have seen so far are the departing adults. The difference between the two is that the first ones have not yet accepted everything they are not, and are in tune with everything they are.
The latter ones have accepted everything they are not and rejected everything they are.

When you are in tune with who you are, you are in your power and exist in a state of organic balance and comfort. When you are socially and often (if not always), through well designed primary educational (or dysfunctional family) indoctrination, deception, and manipulation of your attention are programmed to be who you are not, you are in your fakeness and will be either depressed or constantly seeking synthetic (i.e. finite by its nature) power and comfort, and will end up experiencing constant inner shrinking and discomfort.
An example of such synthetic power would be a phenomenon of control. An example of synthetic inner comfort would be an obsessive-compulsive dependence on anything external or an addiction to… well, anything, really. In either case this synthetic comfort will be short lived.

Sadly, all social institutions and industries starting from cartoons and kindergartens, promote and glorify “overcoming one’s natural preferences and inner organic tendencies so that accepting the already selected for you, and really engineered by those institutions archetypes becomes possible. The problem is, these mostly aggressive, submissive, really primitive and competitive archetypes are not meant by life and nature to be lived, otherwise you would be either born with them already or would be happy to accept and live them like the flower lives and accepts the sunshine.

For example, we were born naturally tuned into cooperation, and we naturally expect and assume it, but then we all were tricked to live and be in competition, which has been greatly advertised, promoted and over glorified. You can continue the list while examining the offered and the naturally given.

It would be more than appropriate for everybody on this planet to just tune into themselves, stop neglecting their inner impulses, reclaim full ownership of their consciousness, and really figure out the direction where they would effortlessly and happily go with their full heart.

Here a couple of fabricated and imposed on the public myths that I’d like to offer for you personal inner investigation.

Love is a physical intimacy and can only fully come from the opposite sex. Love is a constant or steady need to be with a partner (could be a friend, a relative or a pet).

The truth? Sure, here it is. Love is a state of consciousness that does not come from another and is not limited to any kind of relationship, i.e. it can be experienced any time, anywhere, and is naturally supposed to be the nature of the relationship you have with yourself (and you did have such relationship with yourself as a child). This very Love penetrates the relationship the universe has with every part of itself. And it is beautiful and functional. The same very Love you can find in the Nature, and it has this full of Love and cooperation relationship with every part of itself. It lives it, it vibrates it, it is it. Nature therefore is effortlessly self healing and self harmonizing. An average citizen in a megalopolis or a city is self destructive, and not by nature, but by training. Very wrong one, but accepted.

The powerful truth is that you have every right in the universe to be yourself. And only those who are not being themselves will criticize or dislike you for that. And when they do, please know, that they are telling you their story, not yours.
