i want to be happy

Most of us want to be happy and pursue happiness in almost every situation in life, and yet despite our efforts,Our Generation defined as mental depression. In this article i will try to supply answer to the most disturbing questions such as,how to become happy?how to deal with Depression? Can we influence our happiness or is it fixed and we are born with it? Is the answer to what happiness is, or how to reach it, answered through chemistry? It depends on which expert you ask, which research he quotes, and what happiness you want to achieve.

A British study recently published in the journal of Human Genetics, suggests that the way to happiness mainly depends on genetics. Scientists from the London School of Economics found the gene which affects the degree of satisfaction people feel in their lives. The results suggest that people bearing the 5-HTT gene, tend to feel happier. The Gene in question, responsible for the distribution of serotonin to the nerve cells, is a chemical that controls mood.
Imbalance of serotonin in the nervous system can cause numerous illnesses, including depression and anxiety. Research suggests that people that have two sets of happiness gene, one from each parent, and is twice as likely to be satisfied with their lives - compared with those not carrying the gene.
If not genetics - Medication can make you happy
At the beginning of the 50’s, a breakthrough was made with the development of antidepressants, medicine which affect the central nervous system. These drugs were effective and allowed, for the first time, the generation of improved clinical conditions of the patients’ depression. They had side effects such as obesity, decreased blood pressure, dizziness, etc… The second breakthrough antidepressant drug development began early 90’s with such novel drugs SSRI, or in a language we all know - Prozac or its derivatives.
The SSRI medications are effective and have fewer side effects the initial drugs. Side effects were significant and were observed mainly in teenagers - an increase in suicidal thoughts. In addition they may cause sexual dysfunction.
Other drugs are available on the market today are the SNRI medications which affect the release of serotonin and adrenaline in the body, thereby enhancing the sense of "high" and sense of euphoria
that cause happiness.
how to become happy?

Psychologists and many professionals argue that we can influence our mood ourselves, and that happiness consists of several factors.
Recent studies have found that humans can improve their mood by physical activity, maintaining a healthy weight, clearing negative thoughts, angry feelings disposal and cultivation of positive emotions such as empathy and gratitude:
Such activity can include walking, jogging, biking, fishing, gardening or even some time outdoors. Researchers explain that the nature of physical activity may increase the sense of well-being.
Various studies have shown that people who consume healthy balanced diets are less likely to suffer from depression. For example, people that stuck to a Mediterranean diet, traditionally rich in vegetables and fresh fruit, cereals, legumes, nuts, olive oil, cheese, yogurt, chicken eggs, and sometimes even moderate consumption of wine, was headed by 30% less likely to develop depression compared to those who did not consume this diet type. The researchers explain Mediterranean diet rich in complex carbohydrates and fiber that maintain a stable blood sugar level and the balance of serotonin.
Many studies, from recent years indicate that Self timeout have good impact on mental and physical health of the person. Optimism also contributes to the secretion of endorphins that help us feel better. Sense of optimism releases neurotransmitters such as serotonin is released in the brain and causes a better mood.

One hypothesis is that people are optimistic with a positive attitude to life; less stress hormones produce and secrete substances that benefit the health and wellness. So even if optimism is not a
genetic trait, we can certainly learn to be optimistic and happy.
