Many friends that I know are miserable. They are unhappy with a current situation in each of their lives. However, not one of them will ever take steps to alleviate the problem because they are always fearful of hurting others. They base all their actions upon that premise. Each friend keeps asking me what to do to change. Have you been in a similar situation? Do you continue to, effectively, hurt yourself because you are too afraid you may hurt someone?

My philosophy is that when we are in turmoil, it is best to listen to ourselves. Please note that if you listen and allow it, you will hear the answer you need as the spirit within can show you the answers you seek. You cannot worry about who will be hurt. Listen to what you hear from within yourself. In other words, use your intuition and act on that. If someone is hurt, that is his or her choice, not your doing.

Assuming you can hurt someone is a state of judgment and that is not a spiritual process. Why do I state this? Only if you have more power over another can you cause them injury. By assuming another will be hurt by your actions, you are are stating you have more power than they do.

I have found that even though we may perceive others have hurt us or that we have hurt them, it is only an illusion. We can only be hurt if we choose to accept separation from them. However, we are not separate from them because we are part of God and He is everywhere, including within us. Since we are part of the whole of the spirit of God, we are not separate from Him or from each other.

Furthermore, everyone has the strength of the spirit within him or her to sustain him or her from any perceived injury. Remember, you cannot hurt someone if you are part of the whole and equal to him or her. Rest well, dear one...you are not alone! The spirit is within you, giving you the answers you seek! Therefore, why do you not listen to your spirit?
