Even before this coronavirus pandemic blows up really big, we have been thought how to properly handle our illnesses in public. That includes what we should when we feel like coughing or sneezing. Since this pandemic forces us to wear a mask all the time, we at least have protection, somehow. But taking extra measures could not only save you, but you could also be the means to save others.

So we'll take you to proper etiquette when coughing or sneezing and we'll let you know why.

First, despite wearing a mask, NEVER forget to cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing. Ideally, you should use your elbow. Though the mask has protective power, we cannot deny the fact that some substances could probably go through. So it's best to cover your mouth to maximize containment. Also, a reminder that the virus or bacteria could be propelled into the air or across the room, which could make others sick.

Although mentioned above, it is better to use disposable tissue than a towel to cover your sneeze or cough. A handkerchief could be a potential place for the germ to permutate and carrying that around would not be a good idea. However, the tissue, if disposed of properly, could help keep the germs from spreading.

Lastly, even though you have these things to cover yourself, it is best to not face other people when coughing or sneezing. Ultimately, use hand sanitizers or wash your hands immediately!

Being self-aware should not be ashamed of. It is showing strength rather than weakness. If you do your best, you can make the world a bit better.
