Imagine you are in the process of decorating your living room. You begin to think of how you want the room to feel when you are there, perhaps different colors of your walls or wallpaper, and even the fabric of your furniture. Then you begin the process of finding what you like best. Maybe you aren’t sure of what you like so you begin to look around at stores, the net, catalogs, books - anything that can provide you with the look and feel you desire. You then get what you want and decorate your room just the way you like and enjoy it every time you spend time there.

Now, let’s rewind the above scene.

Again imagine you are in the process of decorating your living room. Now, think of what it will look and feel like when you are sitting on a plush orange sofa and staring at black wallpaper. How does that feel to imagine that? What did you say? Oh. I get it….You don’t want to imagine about an orange sofa and black walls. You say that you know this isn’t what you want, so you really don’t want to waste your time and energy thinking about things you don’t want…..

It doesn’t make logical sense for you to spend your time thinking about WHAT YOU DON’T WANT (that ugly orange sofa) when you are decorating a room does it? No. It doesn’t.

It only makes sense to think about WHAT YOU WANT. And when you do that, you take action and create what you want.

For this moment right now, let’s imagine your life as your personal project - just like decorating your room. Perhaps you want to become Happier. Be more Successful. Get rid of excess Weight. Eliminate old Habits. Have more Love and Good Friends. More Security and More Money.

You say you’ve been wanting these things for a while now. This is great. So how have you been thinking about these issues? What kinds of thoughts have gone through your mind? What’s that you say? You’ve been worrying about not having enough money? You’ve been walking past your mirror and thinking about how fat an awful you look? You’ve been wondering if you’ll ever find that perfect person for you? You’ve been struggling with that worry and old habit for years?

I’m not surprised that you haven’t achieved what you want in this part of your life. Why am I not surprised? Because you are telling me that you have been thinking for years ABOUT WHAT YOU DON’T WANT. This is the same as imagining that ugly orange sofa.
Why in the world would you imagine that orange sofa when you don’t want it?

So if you are worrying about not having enough money, then you are simply attracting worries about not having enough money.
If you are upset that you are heavy, then you are attracting the the feeling of being upset.
If you think that you won’t find your perfect partner, then your energy is going towards feeling lonely.

If this doesn’t make sense, then you might want to reread the proceeding paragraphs again. This time, try reading them out loud.
Sometimes it’s easier to hear and learn….

Did you ever have the experience of driving a new car and for the next few days you kept noticing other cars just like yours? Perhaps when you were pregnant, you began to notice how so many other women were pregnant? Or even when you were younger, wanting a certain pair of sneakers and noticing how many people had excactly what you wanted?

To achieve what you want in life, the secret is to learn how to think, feel, see and imagine what you want. And continue to do this everyday. This is what the Law of Attraction is all about. Your thoughts are like magnets. Your thoughts attract exactly what you think about. And those same thoughts are what is needed for you to take action to achieve the results you desire.

Does thinking about success help you to achieve success? You bet it does.

Sometimes, though, it’s difficult to think in a positive way. To imagine what we want. To even feel we deserve what we want.
This happens to all of us at some time or another in our life. It’s not unusual.
Many times we can easily turn our thoughts around. But when it becomes too difficult to do, then this is when we seek help.

Both Hypnosis and EFT (the Emotional Freedom Technique) are powerful techniques to help you change your thoughts to achieve the success you desire.
