I grew up on the west coast during the recession of the 1980's, and was the middle child of a single mother trying to support a family with bar-tending jobs, and a variety of hand-to mouth jobs. It taught me a great many things about how to survive, and streetwise, but it also taught me the value of genuine personal relationships, and trust. How to develop your own personal boundaries, and defend them in a respectful assertive way. How to gauge a new situation, and make friends quickly.
I have studied self improvement, and added my own ideas and tools to notes for writing since the mid-1980's. I was listening to Zig Zieglers "See you at the Top" in high school, and it profoundly shaped how I saw myself, and my place in this world. I have studied Samurai Philosophy as it applies to efficiency and decisiveness, visualization through Dr. Maxwell Maltz' "Psycho-Cybernetics", lateral thinking, team building, and leadership in Drama and improvisation classes. Credit building, and repair, personal finance and voluntary simplicity through the great books, "Your Money or Your Life" by Dominguez and Robin, and "The American Credit Power Handbook."
Now, almost 40 years old, I have crafted my lessons into 'breadcrumbs' to help anyone follow a path towards independence and freedom from the inherited emotional baggage we have picked up on our travels. This is part of a book I have been writing since the 90's. As I learn more about how unique my perspective is, I fidn the pull stronger to share my ideas and tactics.

"The most critical aspect of troubleshooting, or solving any problem, is NOT the solution, but correctly targeting the problem." - S.D. Jenkins
"To learn is to sharpen your most important weapon." - S.D. Jenkins

Please comment on the articles, as it gives me a better idea of who is reading them, and what effect they are having.
