I think that people gravitate towards those who are decisive because it shows a confidence in their own knowledge and abilities. We choose a leader whom we have confidence in because we like the safety and security of being around someone who seems to be in control. We want a leader who has the confidence to get us to the place where we want to go. This is why decisiveness is important as a leadership trait.

I've been pondering this question for some time now. Losing everything, specifically worldly items, is not a fun thing to contemplate, but it does tend to put things into perspective. I've been asking myself if there is more to it than first meets the eye. The answer is a definite maybe. Think about this: What if you woke up one morning and everything that you owned or possessed was gone, never to be seen again? The cars your drove are no longer parked in the driveway . . . The belongings you treasured were no where to be found . . . r

The single most important factor in any type of successful relationship between any two people is trust. People can have professional or business relationships where they don't trust each other but those relationships are for convenience only and are not personally satisfying to either party. The man or woman who wants a successful personal relationship has to begin with trust. Trust is first and foremost even in dysfunctional relationships.

The main thing is to learn to relax. Even the most confident person in the world will have problems the first few times that they speak in public. You must practice speaking in order to get it right. I suggest you start with a very small audience. Use one or two people who will give you an honest assessment of where you are. You should then videotape your session so that you can observe your own bad habits first hand. This is the thing which helped me the most. The way that I thought I sounded was totally different from what I saw when we played the tape.

We are not beating around the bush today. If you want your business to limitlessly grow to both big profits and big fulfillment, you have to start with what makes you joyful. You know what its like. Learning to Control your Emotions

Well, you knew we couldn’t have yesterday’s post, “On Being Sad,” without having today’s post: On Being Joyful. That’s because when “Sad” happens, it is in large part as a consequence of our circumstances. Something has occurred, or some one has behaved in a way that perhaps brought sadness. We sometimes offer free coaching sessions for particular group members, promotions, etc. If we didn’t convert them to paying clients, we’d lose buckets of time and money by giving away freebies. So its our job to serve them, and convert them, so they can continue to grow their businesses purposefully, efficiently, and in a big way. If you offer complimentary sessions, or trials, for potential clients in hopes of converting them into paid clients, you need to hear this. If you don’t offer them yet, you may just change your mind after this.

Andrea has another eye surgery next month. This one is unique because it will be to remove a cataract that is progressing in her left eye….the only eye that she has any vision in. Typical cataract surgery is routine, but Andrea’s other conditions and eyesight limitations make this surgery anything but routine. She is vulnerable. If all goes perfectly, she will have 20/400 vision in that eye at best, and still total darkness from her right eye. If not, she will go from being a legally blind person to being a totally blind person.
