Sometimes it’s hard to get a grasp on how large our world really is. This is how I look at it. We are all living someone else’s dream. We can take each and every moment and the things that we do in that moment and spread it throughout the world. Here are some examples: Let’s take for instance the most simplest of things such as walking, talking or clapping. Somewhere in the world at this very moment there is someone who cannot walk, talk or clap their hands. Their dream is to do that, in essence, you are living that persons dream.
Our life struggles come in many forms. Some struggles may be regarding money, love, careers or about things we cannot fathom. Our life struggles know no age, race, and religion or where you are located in this vast world. The struggles that we endure in our lifetime might be a cakewalk to others. What is the bottom line? How do we survive our struggles? How do we escape the despair? It’s easy, look inside you!
Have you ever spent the day just running errands, picking up kids, making sure dinner is prepared, and getting little jr. to his baseball game? At the end of the day as you’re finally sitting down relaxing, have you wondered where the day went to? We as women try to squeeze in everything into one moment, one hour, and one day. There could never possibly be enough time to get done what needs to get done. And what about help? Well, most of us either do not have any, or not enough. Yes, we are the queens of multi-tasking! What an accomplishment! Ok, let’s fast forward our lives.
You ARE the most precious gift that the world can receive. From the moment you were born you were so loved. Your beautiful smile lit up your face. As you grew, I saw your curious mind lead you places. Your innocence was so refreshing in a world filled with hate. Your loving nature makes you so special and your laughter is great. Your heart is bigger than any forest and your compassion runs deeper than any ocean.
If you are tired of the way things are going, if you have lost your job and are getting those rejection letters as fast as you are submitting your resume, this will help you along. What do you do to stay positive and focused? 1. Do you need more education for what you want to do or for what the job market calls for? 2. Are you mentally prepared for a job change? 3. If you left your former employer on bad terms make sure that you’ve dealt with all of the emotions due to your departure from that company.r
Derron liked to play his Xbox as much as he could in between work and school. He competed with his friends and family as well as people online. His new game just came out and he just had to beat everyone’s score. He always had to have the highest score.
We can all agree that a good attitude means everything. A good attitude makes positive things happen. But what do you do on those days when everything just seems to go wrong? You can shift that energy from bad to good. Here are some useful tips to help you.
When we go through physical or mental pain, you have to allow yourself the time needed to heal. We don’t always allow ourselves the needed time to do so. Our body has its own mechanism that shuts off when we are in need of rest. We feel pain or we might get tired, that is our body saying “enough” time to rest and heal.
This is part 2 of an 8 part blog series titled, “Become the Person Who Can Move Mountains.” This blog is about Visualization. The blogs in this series are: Self-Esteem, Visualization, Knowledge, Patience, Understanding, Giving Back, Love, and Faith & Fear.
Oh, that magical word, Christmas. It is such a wonderful occasion that is anticipated all year long. I sit here and look at my newly decorated Christmas tree. It has a ton of lights on it, and all kinds of colorful ornaments and a huge Santa Clause tree shirt that my grandson picked out. There are no presents under the Christmas tree, and yet, there is such a simplicity to just having a decorated Christmas tree.
They say that the first six years of a child’s life are the most important for learning. Children can learn different languages, and so many other things. It makes you wonder if it’s exposure to different situations or if a parent is just drilling them and turning them into little sponges. Personally, I think that it has to do with their natural curiosity. Children are curious about everything. They ask a million questions so that they can get a better understanding of how things actually work.
Time is such an odd subject to talk about. We’re either trying to speed it up, slow it down, or just plain stop it. Sometimes it could be that fraction of a micro second between life and death, or hope and despair. Let’s look at the phrase “Time awaits no one.” You can actually sum up this whole blog on that true statement. Of course time awaits no one, time doesn’t stand still. With that being said, let’s further look into the reason we want time to stop. We want to treasure that moment, for a few more…moments, hours, days…forever.
Here it is 2012, for years many have questioned our mere existence after this year. The world is changing, for the better, but some still don’t see it. It is not the end of the world, but the end of our old way of thinking. It is a time of renewal. This means renewal of our souls, it is a time of growth and compassion.
The holidays are such special occasions. Many people do not celebrate the holidays due to the loss of a loved one. Life is meant to be enjoyed and you can be at peace with the loss of a loved one. You can go visit my gravesite, but I’m not there. My spirit lives on, everywhere. I can see everything that you’re going through and I wish I could just hold you. Just know that each and every day I walk along side of you.
If you’re walking in a store you might not notice them, or in a checkout, or at the ball field. But they are right there and if an emergency ever happened, you would be seeing them up close. They are the ones that care. I have always been truly amazed at how one person can steal the clothes off your back and another person would be there to replace them. Nice people give and continue giving until they can’t anymore. It is in their blood.
Perfection, what is it really? Is it a designer dress or a designer bag or a face that is coated with a lot of designer make up? We can all have perfection if we had a pocket full of money that would be easy. Oprah’s phrase “if you have it, fix it” was totally taken out of context. It gives you the impression that if you have the money, fix whatever “society” feels you should look like.
After I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer, I knew my life would change. I had no idea how drastic the changes were going to be. It was hard because you hear different horror stories, in reality; everyone's body is different so the reaction to chemotherapy and radiation will differ. I found this out the hard way. Things that I expected to happen didn't. They had the opposite effect on me. My doctors called me "highly sensitive."
Faith, no matter what your belief may be, is a very powerful thing. People have their own ideals about what God truly is and what he/she does. There are days when you get hit with all the bills, then some unexpected things happen, car breaks down, an unexpected doctor bill, etc., and it tests your faith. It is during these times that your faith gets tested. You can either spiral down further, and more bad things continue to happen, or you can have a little talk with your maker. I simply say “Ok, you can stop now. I’ve had enough.
You have been by my side since I can remember. You are my best friend and my life partner. You walk with me in troubled waters, you help me through such troubled times. You are my heart and my soul. You remember things with such great detail. You understand when life takes its toll. You say such crazy things to put a smile on my face. You are all I need in life’s crazy race.
To me, recreating yourself means having preserved over a certain circumstance or many circumstances. For an example, let’s take the roles of survivor’s versus victims. The survivor has persevered over the circumstance and their whole outlook on everything has changed. This can be for any type of survivor in any type of situation from mental to physical.
Some people are missing out on an important part of their life. Usually it takes some traumatic event to awaken the thought. So, let’s go over some of the areas that might be affected. Only you know the solution. 1) Career-Are you where you want to be? This includes the type of career, the hours that you work, etc. Is your career consuming your life? 2) Children-Do you have the amount of children that you had planned on? Are your children consuming all the areas of your life?
Sometimes we amaze ourselves by the amount of inner strength that we draw from. Our inner strength guides us with patience and understanding among other things. While we tend to downplay or simply avoid where our strength comes from, we know it’s there.
Everyday people struggle with not only their own problems, but those of their loved ones as well. You help out through moral support, or financial support. Sometimes it really doesn’t matter how much you help; there are times when it just seems endless. It’s called selfishness. That is defined by someone having the capabilities and the know how to make it on their own, but choose to have other people pay for them, either financially or emotionally. This happens in teenagers, young adults, and adults.
This is a short story about Mary, who is a sophomore in high school. Her best friend’s name is Lindsey; they are inseparable. There was a junior in high school, which caught Mary’s eye. He was tall and handsome and had muscles on top of muscles. She told Lindsey all about him, “Look, there he is! No, don’t stare at him.” Jason noticed Mary looking at him too. He had his eye on her for a while. Jason was out of school more than he was there. Jason found Mary at her locker and asked her to go out with him. She gave him her phone number and they had a date the next night.
Sometimes we women just need a break every now and then. Sometimes if the smallest chore is done for us, it will totally make our day. Sometimes a compliment will carry us through a hard day. Sometimes when we face a challenge we have the self confidence that we need to conquer it. Sometimes you will see a hidden smile when we’re supposed to be mad. Sometimes we love being by ourselves while other times we love the company of our family and friends. Sometimes a phone call, a hug or a friendly voice is all we need to make us feel just that much more special.
From across the distant lands, and to the distant seas, you don’t know me, but I wish you peace. Through times of uncertainty and life’s hardships; hold tight to your faith, you will get through it. I wish I could carry your weight, but you are stronger tha I. I hate the thought of war with all the death, injustices and lies.
If I could say to you, “Touch your heart. Feel your heart beat; feel your blood flow through with every breath you take.” If I could say to you, “Take that tende ess, that pulse and carry it with you. “ Carry it to all the places that it is so desperately needed. To the young little voices that are dying to be heard. Carry it to the lost souls that are searching to be found. Carry it so that it may dry a tear. Carry it so that it may shed light where there is darkness. Carry is so that it gives hope and opportunity to a place where they don’t exist.

I wish I didn’t know what a broken heart felt like. I wish there was no illness. I wish I never knew what homeless meant. I wish there was no such thing as war. I wish I never heard or said an angry word. I wish my heart didn’t know what it was like to ache for someone not with us anymore. I wish all babies were born healthy. I wish we never grew old.
Sometimes you hit a roadblock and you wonder; ok, what is it going to take to get me to the next level? What can I do that I haven’t already done? Am I not searching in the right area? So, what can you do to get past this little bump in the road and continue on to be more proactive in your search? First of all your roadblock could be on a professional level or a personal level. It doesn’t matter if your sales have slowed down, or it takes longer for you to get in that meditative state. Here are a few things to think about: 1. Clarity-get focused on what you want to accomplish.
Sometimes in life we face challenges. While some days go by with great ease, others are a bit of a struggle. We can say don’t stress over the small things, and some occasions that is easier said than done. We spend countless hours of our life worrying about things that we have no control over. We might get upset with what others say or do but we really have no control over any of it. If you get upset over bills or not having a job, you can only do what you have the means to do. If you have done all that you can, you should be at ease with that knowledge.
It seems like everyone wants to know who is more likely to cheat and what the signs are. Well the plain truth of the matter is that you absolutely have no control over the actions of another person. They will cheat if they want to. Whatever they want to do, they will do it.
A glimmer of hope can be an expression on your face, your hand reaching out to someone, a kind word, or a warm embrace. A glimmer of hope is any sign, no matter how small, that things will get better. A glimmer of hope is a prayer, a positive thought or action moving out of a negative place and into a positive.
What does inner peace mean? It means, when the world outside of you is going crazy, or is just too loud, and it doesn't affect you. It means staying balanced, both physically and mentally when the ground beneath you is shaking. It also means that you have seen and felt it all, and nothing that happens can sway you in either direction.
As your walking around a crowded busy street, stop and take a look around. Every single person has at least one thing in common; everyone, no matter what sex, age, race, or what your belief system might be. The common link, the common tie, the common factor is the color of blood. The color of their blood is red. If people can focus on that thought, they will begin to see and feel beyond their own discriminatory boundaries. People would open up and welcome new cultures, new attitudes, and new awareness. People would be more giving if they realized the fact that everyone bleeds red.
Sometimes we amaze ourselves by the amount of inner strength that we draw from. Our inner strength guides us with patience and understanding among other things. While we tend to downplay or simply avoid where our strength comes from, we know it’s there.

I see the color of your skin. I see the color of your hair. Mine is straight and yours is curly. I am short and you are tall. My eyes are big and yours are small. We both love to play. I have a jump rope and you have a ball. My tummy’s big and yours is small. All the kids are always around you; I’m always alone. They all joke about me being fat, but deep down we’re all the same. Your clothes are new and mine are old. Can you come over after school and play? “I can’t, I have ballet class today.”

There is some point in your life when you know someone or you are personally touched by cancer. Everyone reacts different to the disease. Some people get mad, some people sigh at what lies ahead for them. But everyone must agree that a positive attitude is what helps you heal. That certain place in your heart, you hold so dearly, you share with so many other cancer survivors. One word, one thought, or one kind gesture can go such a long way. Other survivors know the right thing to say, the right questions for you to ask your doctors and so on. They are truly a godsend for so many.
I see it all the time, people selling themselves short. Be it on a professional level or a personal level, it happens all the time. It is the wrong job, wrong career, wrong boyfriend/girlfriend, etc. Here are some things to help you. Don’t give away your power to someone else. Keep it. In other words, never allow someone else to dehumanize you or violate your self-worth. You have everything that everyone else has; you just haven’t realized it yet. We are all the same. If you are not lazy, and you work hard, you can obtain what everyone else has, no excuses.

We can’t get back the time that we spent trying to change someone else. The energy and time is irreplaceable. You truly have to look at each and every circumstance and evaluate the time and energy that you’ve put into it and come to the conclusion that it is unchangeable. It could be the time and energy that you put into a relationship, a job, or a friendship, it doesn’t matter. You have to accept people and situations for what they truly are; a learning experience. You have to learn to accept them for who and what they truly are.
In response to the threats from N. Korea. When life gets crazy and the ground you’re standing on starts to feel shaky, it is time to rest. When you start to feel anxious, your body naturally wants to respond by taking action, don’t! Take a rest. If life starts to get blurry, take a rest. Take a deep breath, sit down; yes I said sit down, not run in this direction or that one. As you sit, think about everything that is going on outside your body. You can feel all the energy moving around. Now let’s get focused.
I wanted to talk about that moment of desperation. In that moment of desperation, there comes a change, an inner change. Some people do not welcome change, they are resistant to it. Some people are just too comfortable with the way things are; they can only see the negative side to making a change. So they don’t initiate any changes and they let things go until they are totally bogged down. Or they have tried this tactic and they have tried that tactic to no avail, now they are overwhelmed.

There is a saying “you cannot be mad in nature.” You may start out being upset, but as you walk amongst the tall oak trees and pines, nature brings peace to your soul. As you walk further you hear things; a squirrel running, birds chirping and the sound of water from a nearby creek. Being in nature softens the soul and makes you realize how wondrous our world really is.
Most people say face your fears head on. That way you will over come them. That is fine, but you’ll never know where the fear came from.
Mean people hurt others. Good people love others. If you have been through any type of meanness or cruelty you will understand where I am coming from. When someone does something mean to you, your first reaction is to get even, or to try to justify yourself. This is absolutely the worst thing that you can do, and I’ll tell you why.
